Fur-tastic turnout at yesterday's RunFurFun event in collaboration with Noah's Ark Dog and Cat Shelter!
Despite the rainy weather, 1200 runners and 200+ pets joined forces. Freebies and fans were generously provided by Pawsitively Pet Care Animal Clinic, Furlife, and Mountain View Animal Clinic. Excitingly, cosplayers from PSAU Cosplay Guild added flair, offering photo ops and distributing stickers and photocards.
The event, starting at 5 am, concluded at 8 am. Additionally, members of the VKV-VLV ran alongside fur babies to save lives. Kudos to all participantsโtrue SuFur Heroes!

Tremors: How Common Are They?
WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW FIRST.๐น Good day, fur-parents!๐พ Tremors in dogs are involuntary, rhythmic twitches of the muscles that contract and relax rapidly, which usually results in a back-and-forth movement of one or more parts of the body, similar to the puppy in the video. Tremor is a common sign in several medical conditions: โช๏ธTrauma or injury โช๏ธExposure to certain drugs โช๏ธKidney failure โช๏ธHeart disease โช๏ธRabies โช๏ธPain or weakness โช๏ธHypoglycemia โช๏ธPoisoning โช๏ธTetany โช๏ธNervous system disease โช๏ธLow Ca+ Levels โช๏ธDistemper โช๏ธNausea โช๏ธOld age โช๏ธSeizure disorders and many others which is why it is difficult to narrow down diagnoses as different tests are still needed. Usually, pet owners might opt to do only one or two tests as doing more will get costly, which is a problem as not all wrong diagnoses can be excluded in the tentative diagnoses. In cases like this, Veterinarians โrule outโ those whose other common symptoms do not manifest. Still, there may be times when a veterinarianโs options are pushed to their limits. Letโs take the case in the video below as an example. According to the owner, the puppy in the video experienced tremors on September 23, 2020, Wednesday, and it was a sudden onset. The tremors were on/off and the patient couldn't eat and could barely get up while shaking. Our Vets did all the best to come up with some possible differential diagnoses as no tests were done due to the financial constraints of the owner. We still can't say for sure what the disease was as no test can verify the diagnosis but thanks to the trained clinical eye of our Vets the patient recovered very well unexpectedly. The puppy got better the next day and as seen in the last video clip, the puppy is active again.
