Yesterday we rescued 2 dogs that were seized in a cruelty case by a local shelter. I cannot show photos of how they were forced to live since the case is ongoing but it is horrifyingly😥 They were found kenneled with two other dogs that were deceased and the matting on them was solid and full of dried urine and feces💔 We have rescued dogs in very bad shape in the past but these 2 are the worst to date!!! Today they underwent a slow and steady grooming process and were allowed their first taste of freedom. Their body and behavioral care will take time but they are safe and the healing has begun🐾♥️ Welcome to CCR Doc and Walter♥️

CCR is happy to share some of our most recent adoptions both local and from our partner rescue in NH. We are so excited that all of these former abandoned or discarded Georgia pups are in loving homes for the holidays♥️🎄☃️🐾

Noelle, Scrappy and Batman boarded the bus this morning to find their new humans up north😊 Scrappy had a large mass removed from his left front foot and Noelle had her right front leg removed due to severe nerve damage. Both are all healed and full of loads love to give♥️ Batman was surrendered to a kill shelter by his owners after 8 years😳 Who does that😳😞
We love seeing these once discarded babies with their new families and will post their adoption photos soon as possible♥️😊🐾

UPDATE! Noelle's radial nerve was severely damaged in her right front leg and all she could do was drag it😞 Our vet believed that her best outcome would be removal of the leg and we agreed🐾 Noelle is a very sweet and shy girl and she is getting around much better without the leg♥️ Thank you to her foster mom Maria Sousa😊♥️ We will post updated pictures of her in the comments🐾♥️
CCR could use your help with Noelle the schnauzer mix from Newton County AC with horribly broken leg and Scrappy from Walton County AC with a large growth on his front foot. Noelle is currently on the way to our vet and will most likely require amputation of the leg😞 Scrappy had the growth removed and biopsy shows it is a level 1 sarcoma that had not spread. He is currently healing from the surgery and we are hoping for the best for him with only a 7% chance of reoccurrence. We are a small rescue and Medical cases like this are financially painful but we just couldn't leave them behind♥️🙏 Any donation would be most appreciated. You can donate here on Facebook or

CCR rescued Boone from Newton County AC and poor little Scrappy from Walton county AC today. Scrappy is at the vet to have the large growth on his left front foot removed and sent for biopsy. We are praying it's just a cyst and not cancer🙏 Boone is Being neutered tomorrow morning and we are hoping for a foster for him until Friday morning🐾❤️

CCR would love to find a home for Ollie in Georgia instead of sending him north🐾❤️ Ollie is 7 years old and one of the easiest dogs ever. He loves nothing more than hanging out with his people and be affectionate. Ollie is completely housebroken and non destructive indoors. Being secure in his dogness, Ollie doesn't mind hanging out by himself for hours either😊🥰
Ollie only has 2 shortfalls:
1. He doesn't like dogs that jump on him and get in his face. He is doing great with his fosters dog that is a bit bigger than him and laid back.
2, Ollie is leash aggressive towards other dogs on walks. Our fosters have worked with him and he may be a tad better but we think this will be a hard issue to change with him. Ollie thinks walks are overrated anyway and would much rather hang out and watch movies with his person🙂
So Ollie is simply perfect in every way but 2👌
He would be an amazing companion for someone who just wants a well trained buddy and has a fenced yard for outdoor adventures. Maybe you are retired or work from home and would love a best friend to hang out with. Ollie would love to fill out an application to be that friend🐾❤️
