Not My Cat - Ginger Kitty Edition

Anyone want this dog? She was dumped. Typical subhuman behavior. Summer is here. Vacations planned. What to do with the dog(s)? Drive them out to the country and dump them. I looked at her teeth. My guess is that she’s probably 2 years old.

We have neither the time nor desire to have an animal. This dog seems sweet and likely abused. Her tail is tucked under and she flinches when you reach for her.

Seems very curious and friendly toward neighbor dog. She looks like she weighs about 28 lbs.

She showed up on our cameras around 4:30 AM. She acts like a dump. When you live in the country, you recognize the look in the eyes of a dumped dog.

I think she sprained her rear foot chasing after the subhuman that dumped her.

Her body is a little long which makes me think she might have some Corgi in her. Hair is like that of an Australian shepherd.

4:30 am this morning, the black cat showed up again and terrorized . climbed a tree to get away. He was up there for over an hour until I came out to serve him his breakfast.

Caught on our Ring camera at 4:18 am this morning. The ginger kitty was asleep on our porch when attacked by a black cat. We don’t know if the cat belongs to a neighbor or if it is feral. We only see the cat on camera after dark. We’ve never seen this cat in the daytime. One of the many dangers this cat faces out here. He does not need additional injuries. Not the first time this has happened. 😢

This video captures the moment the cat approached me on his own. He decided that since I had fed him 3 days in a row and walked away, I wasn't a threat and decided I was worth his affection and time.

Just a few days of feeding this timid kitty brought him completely out of his shell and he has become so relaxed around us.

This raccoon spotted on our ring camera moments after the ginger kitty walked by. This raccoon is easily twice the size of the cat. An encounter between the two would be deadly to the cat. The cat needs to be adopted ASAP.

Checking out the birdbath for afternoon snacks. The birdbath is now on its side so the cat is not tempted to devour songbirds.

This little stinker took out a bird that was at one of my birdfeeders (I've since removed all birdseed so the cat is not tempted to kill more songbirds) and could tell I was not happy. He apologized by "making biscuits" on my tummy. He is super affectionate.

Look at the expression on this cat's face! He's so affectionate and wants love badly. When I got back inside, I had to change clothes and immediately wash the clothes I was wearing so my husband wouldn't have an allergic reaction. The cat can't be inside and he can't stay outside.

Adoptees must either be vouched for by a friend of mine that shared this page - OR - must provide a dated, pre-paid receipt from a vet before adopting. This proves to me you will take care of the cat. He needs to be neutered and needs a once-over to make sure he doesn't have parasites. Considering he lives outside, he likely has them. He needs to be an inside cat. He wants inside our house. Let him in your house.

Why do I need to find a home for this cat?

This cat was dumped on our property - it's not ours and we don't want pets at this time in our life.

All local animal rescues are not taking cats at this time. This is a smart, affectionate cat, and I don't want to dump it in a kill shelter in Dallas or elsewhere.

Why don't you just buckle and bring the cat indoors?

My husband is allergic to cats - so it can't live with us indoors.

Why can't you just let it live outdoors?

Because there are a million things that want to eat cats out here.

We live out in the country in Kaufman County, TX. We are near the tiny town of Post Oak Bend.

People dump cats and dogs out in the country all the time. We live in the woods.

Local wildlife that can be deadly to domestic animals:

venomous snakes (they are here aplenty)

raccoons (they can be vicious and would make quick work of a small cat)

coyotes (we hear them laughing nearly every night and have picked up coyotes on game cameras on our property)

bobcats

mountain lions (they live in EVERY county in Texas and are more prevalent out here than in the city)

feral pigs (smart and vicious and they can and do attack even people and consume them among other animals)

dumped dogs (they're desperate)

chupacabra?

He was very shy at first, but is highly food motivated and is a loverboy.
