** INFORMATION APPEAL **

This sweet little pony has recently been at the centre of a number of phone calls to not only the Police, but the RSPCA too.

Most recently she was spotted wandering along Main Street, Swannington all on her own.

She is currently being well cared for and is safe and secure and her chip reveals she had a registered keeper, but certainly not a local one.

Do you recognise this pony? Who do you believe she is owned by? Who has recently been caring for her?

If you have any information at all, please make contact with PC 237 Emma HOLMES on the email below -

Wispa is still missing from the spalding area!!
He was breed by me and I’m just as worried as his lovely owner who hasn’t been coping well with his disappearance!

If you know anyone in the area please share my photo!! There is now a reward!!
Thank you everyone ❤️
He’s not a outdoor cat! So he will be scared and possibly hiding 😞

Arenas Available for Hire

As winter starts to set in and the clocks go back, we know how hard it can be to fit in riding and working with your horses around work and everyday life with daylight hours getting shorter and the weather getting worse.

Luckily we have a solution for you, why not hire our fantastic indoor surfaced arena, with optional use of lights, available for hire by the hour or day. Our indoor arena is available every evening from 5pm onwards and on Sundays from 1pm onwards.

Not only do we have our indoor arena but also our newly refurbished outdoor arena. Featuring a sand and recycled rubber surface suitable for all disciplines and post and rail fencing, our new outdoor arena is fantastic to ride on with plenty of space and holds up in all weathers. This arena is available for hire by the hour or day, from 2pm Monday-Friday, from 11am on Saturdays and all day on Sundays.

Hire can include the use of our poles and dressage boards.

If you are interested in hiring our facilities, not only for horse riding, but perhaps for fitness and sports classes or dog training, please get in touch. We can also hire out the facilities for all day events, we are taking bookings for 2022 events NOW. The best way to get in touch is to email [email protected]

A friend of mine works at this veterinary practice

This is Nala.

She is a young fit Labrador who was playing football on a overcast 21⁰c day.

At 1.30pm she was rushed to Hook Vets with heat stroke.

Her temperature was at a whopping 41.3⁰c. A dogs normal temperature range is 38 - 39⁰c

Heat stroke can cause irreversible damage or even death. Thankfully her owner noticed and reacted quickly and Nala is doing well 💜 His quick actions saved her life.

Dogs that are more prone to heat stroke are old dogs, overweight dogs, flat faced breeds and puppies. However any dog of any age or breed or fitness can get heat stroke.

Signs of heat stroke are:
⚠️ Faster, heavier breathing
⚠️ Excessive thirst and drooling
⚠️ Increased heart rate and pulse rate
⚠️ Dark coloured gums/ tounge (red/purple)
⚠️ Glassy eyes
⚠️ Staggering or weakness
⚠️ Seizures
⚠️ Unconsciousness

If you think your dog has heat stroke DO NOT throw cold water on them as this can cause the body to go into shock.

On warm days you can help your dogs by:
✅ Restricting exercise
✅ Make sure they have access to cool, shaded areas
✅ Give them access to fresh water
✅ Walking them first thing in the morning or last thing at night when it's cooler
✅ If your pet is over weight start them on a weight loss journey

Please share this post to raise awareness
