Socialization doesn’t end when a puppy grows up. Socialization is teaching your dog how you want them to act in different situations. Sumo wants to pull his owners to greet everyone they see on their walks. Today we took a field trip to the Huntsman World Senior Games and worked on Sumo focusing on me and our walk instead of all the people and dogs around us. Could your dog benefit from more socialization?

Adding Vada as a distraction for Sumo’s loose leash walking today was a success!

Keeper is practicing “sit” and learning “wait”, Sumo is practicing “place”, and Ruby is also practicing “place” with the added distraction of Keeper playing tug for a reward because Ruby loves that game! We are no longer accepting dogs for our Tuesday/Thursday schedule, but we do have two spots left on Monday/Wednesday.
