πŸ’• Last month senior Toby was saved by Final Frontier Rescue. They are in need of donations to pay for his vet costs, including the removal of a tumor. A few weeks ago, Toby was in danger of becoming one of the many victims of the killer San Antonio pound. A senior with a suspicious growth, he wasn’t a top rescue pick, either. His chances were slim. But he was noticed by one of our directors, Karen, who took him in as her foster and saw him through the surgery to remove that suspicious lump. It turned out to be benign, and Toby has a new lease on life.

Toby had a bunch of pledges, but the ones that were honored did not cover his vet costs.

Our holiday raffle ends in a few hours. Please help us to pay our dogs’ expenses.

It was said that the owner of these 3 dogs had to move into an assisted living home. We don’t wish this situation on anyone, of course. How do you take care of your pets when you can’t take care of yourself? Shelters are suppose to be safety nets for this exact situation. The solution is to help people and their pets. Killing healthy, placeable dogs is not helping anyone and it certainly isn’t a public service that taxpayer dollars should be paying for. These 3 were killed today by ACS under the authority of Director Shannon Sims and his management team. These dogs were scared. Their whole world was turned upside down, being scared was understandable. There was no safety net for them today. The only way we can build a safety net is by building a safer shelter and to do that, no kill shelter reform is needed now more than ever. Please join the cause by following No Kill San Antonio
