Okay , just wanted to post a little run down of whats happening at the elton la pound . The dogs catcher has admitted to shooting dogs that are supposedly aggressive ( I guess he deems these dogs aggressive ) No bite hold , nasty conditions last I was allowed inside the pound . ACO is an alcoholic and definitely should not be carrying a gun around . We were helping the dogs get out but not I am not allowed into the pound . I have to stay on the road because It would be considered " trespassing" if I could even get into the pound . From the last meeting I was told that I would be called on day 6 after the 5 day hold . Its impossible to get good pictures of the dogs from the road, def cant temp test of course.You know all of the things rescues need to know before pulling or tagging the dogs. Ive called the city hall multiple times with no answer . I was told by the mayor that there will be no welfare checks ( goes to show they are hiding something) . A volunteer brought homemade dog houses a while back to help keep the dogs warm and multiple kennels do not have the houses in place even though extras were made for the dogs . They sleep on the cement . From what I know there are no records for intakes or adoption because the dogs catcher cannot read or write unless city hall is doing the paperwork for him ...I am unsure . These dogs are going to freeze 😭 I plan on talking to the press tom and see if that route helps any , if not I need some suggestions ..do we put pressure on them ? I have basically been kept in the dark since the last meeting .
