I can highly recommend Kate and she’s just around the corner from me. Why not drop them in for a groom before they come and stay or after they have been 🐶 ✂️ 🛁
Is your dog going on holiday or are you planning a holiday?🏖
If so, in any type of boarding setting or going away with you as family, here’s a little something for you to consider.
Boarding:-Kennels, home boarding or staying with family and friends. Although these settings care for your dogs and are fantastic at looking after your dogs mental and physical well being. It is mostly likely that they will carry out very little coat maintenance, such as brushing, if any at all, for the whole time you are away and your dog is with them.
Holidaying with your dog:-It’s lovely to take your dog away with you either to the seaside or a place of outstanding beauty, but long walks on sandy beaches, in woodland areas, dipping or swimming in the salty seawater or woodland streams and ponds, although great fun, can take its toll on your dogs coat. Before we go away we have every good intention to keep up the brushing etc that we do at home but inevitably we never quite do the same as we are on a holiday too and it’s nice to get away from the same old day to day routine.
So why not make things easier for everyone involved, including your dog and to avoid a potential shave off on the dogs next scheduled professional groom by taking advantage of the following three steps?:-
🐾 Book your dog in for a professional groom in the days just before you go on holiday.
🐾If your dogs coat is clipped go a little shorter, just as a one off, before you go on holiday. If they are not going with you by the time you get back their coat will have probably grown to the length you are used to seeing them with anyway.
🐾Book your dog in for a bath, dry and brush out on your return to help get rid of any unwanted smells, knots and tangles that they may have collected whilst having fun on holiday.
As always, I’m more than happy to advise on the best plan for your particular dog and answer any questions you may have. Do not hesitate to get in touch, I’m here to help😊.
