Froggy in a plant pot

Venusaur is getting huge! They've been upgraded to a bigger enclosure and he's eating absolutely everything.

Tonight he's had some salmon, I'm going to try them with some different fish along side there usual nightcrawlers and silkworms.

Meet Venusaur the Cranwelli Pacman frog

They're still too young to s*x but they're growing and eating really well.

I finally got the courage to handle them as they're super wiggly and jumpy, I'm so excited to watch them grow.

Ghostface - Bahamas Regal jumping spider (Phidippus regius)

The Old man popped his head out for abit this morning

He's around 1.5yrs old now, he doesn't eat as much as he used to and has definitely slowed down alot but he still carries on.

Weetabix - Ghost mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa)

They did their first moult with us around 48hrs ago!

So now they've been moved to a larger enclosure (I was scared they might escape through the ventilation holes before they moulted as they were so tiny)

I forgot how much I love Ghost mantids they're perfect little twigs.

Weetabix - Ghost Mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa)

One of the first inverts I got was a ghost mantis called cornflake, when I saw this little one at the northern invert show I couldn't not get them.

We decided on the name Weetabix as they're always sprinting and we made the joke that they must have had there weetabix that morning.

My finger is for scale to show just how tiny they are!

Clover - L5 Amazonian giant leaf mantis

Sorry I've not posted in a while, life's been pretty busy.

Clover has moulted for the 3rd time since I've had them, and after waiting 2 days for them to harden I've moves them into their bigger enclosure.

(This was them before I moved them, the abdomen is flat due to being hungry from moulting, I'll be feeding them now I've moved them so I can see how well they can catch dinner in the larger space)

(Clover is in the top right corner and their moult is in the bottom left corner)
