Day one went pretty well, yesterday we drove 1 and a half hours to pick up our little puppy Betsy, she was so good in the car she didn’t cry at all in the crate in the boot, she is very relaxed and happy and she loves cuddles, Luna wanted to play with her but she was a bit big and scary for Betsy, we’ve had 2 accidents in the house so far they where both poos but she has done all her w**d outside, I haven’t done much training with her so far because I want her to settle in first so I just did a little work on sit, stand and come, she is great in her crate and slept really well last night until 3am when she woke up and just wanted cuddles but she’s gone back in her crate now for another sleep, today I’d like to work on her name and maybe some lead training and lure training, she’s a bit stubborn so we’ll have to see how that goes

We will be getting our puppy tomorrow and I will be doing a blog every week and sometimes a couple times a week, I will probably do a blog the first day and then the end of the week I will summarise everything we did that week. The blog will be about raising a puppy and the training process from start to finish, I will talk about our successes and failures. So if your getting a puppy or have just got a puppy this is a great blog for you or if you just want to follow our journey, I will also hopefully be starting a YouTube channel where I will upload videos of our training sessions

It’s important to have some structure with your days so your dog finds it easier to return back to life after lockdown, Luna comes to school with me so I have been putting her vest, head collar and lead on her and walking round the house, putting her in the car and getting her to settle under the table whilst I do things on my iPad so she’s used to all these things when we go back, I’ve tried to make it as realistic to school as possible so it’s a lot easier for her when we go back to school

I would like to be a dog trainer when I’m older, so I decided to start building up now by helping people train their dogs online, it will all be free because I have no qualifications, I just want to help people train, you can email or message me with what you want to work on wether it be tricks, obedience or some naughty behaviour and I will give you the best advice I can and possibly video call for a training session, it would be easier to do the actual training through video call rather than messages or emails. This is Luna, I have trained Her by myself as my assistance dog who comes to school with me, she also knows lots of tricks ontop of her assistance work, she is a 2 year old cockapoo and very intelligent
