Millie, our bichon doing her best ET impersonation.😂😂
What a catch!
The lovely Oscar has been with us for a few days, likes to play ball.😂😂
Ollie is on the ball, watch for the classy nose flick to give me the ball.😂😂
When a happy dog stays at Happy Dog Home Care - the lovely Ollie is back again for a short break, just loves playing ball.
Cooper and Rosie (not related) having their morning walk, two happy doggies!
The lovely Oscar who was with us for a short stay this week, safe to say he made himself at home! A real dote!
Visited Maine Madra boarding kennels today, top class. Although busy, there was a calmness amongst the dogs showing just how relaxed and happy they were. James has a real passion for dogs and it shows in the way he speaks about them and the care he gives then.
Doesn’t time fly! Today marks one year since we started Happy Dog Home Care. A huge thank you to all who have supported us over the past twelve months, as dog owners ourselves we know how re-assuring it is to know your dog is getting the best of care while you are away and that is what we are here for. Here’s to the next 12 months.🐶🐕🦮🐩🐕🦺🐾🦴 Tom (some photos attached from 2022)
Wishing everyone a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas, thank you for your great support during the year.
Our last “clients” of the year! Father and son, Joey and Max , have just gone home after a weekend stay. Aged 14 and 11 these guys were two of the gentlest dogs you could meet. Loved to just cuddle up.
Cooper and Oscar (not related) were with us over the weekend and got on like a house on fire. Two lovely souls, very calm, loved their walks and the couch! Both had previously stayed with us and will be back again in 2023.😀👍
Beautiful Kobi who was with us for a sleepover this weekend and will be back in early 2023 for an extended break. Fabulous temperament and very affectionate.😀
Oscar - a most gentle, friendly Cockapoo - who was with us for the last couple of days. Loved his walks and the couch!
Ollie is back for another couple of sleepovers - he is one of the happiest dogs you could meet.😀
Ollie (10 month old Shih Tzu) went home today after a week’s stay with us. Beautiful little dog, super well-behaved and loved playing with the doggie toys.
Rosie (10 month old Cavachon) who is staying with us at the moment is one Happy Dog!😀😀😀 “Happy Dog Home Care, loving care when you’re not there”
Bloom - the mini dachshund staying with us at the moment- having the craic with two of our own dogs Ted and Chip.😀
Bloom - 9 month old miniature dachshund - is currently staying with us (her first time away from home) and she is super well-behaved. Loves playing with her toys and of course chilling out on the couch.
For the days ahead….,
Teddy (Miniature dachshund) and Molly (Pom/Chihuahua) are currently staying with us and settled the minute they came in the door. They are super well behaved and like nothing better than to chill out in the sitting room.😀
Haven’t posted for a couple of weeks as we have been on hols, we are heading in to a very busy period so batteries needed recharging. 😀 2022 has been amazingly busy since we started in late January and the rest of the year is looking similar. A gentle reminder that we are now taking bookings for 2023 - so if you know your holiday dates get in touch with us as early as you can as many dates are already booked, Tom
A very sad day for us today as we had to say goodbye to one of our own dogs, our beautiful Westie, Holly. An amazing liitle girl who gave us great joy over the seven short years she had with us. Treasure every day with your dog and you will have nothing but happy memories to look back on. Holly left her paw prints on our hearts, gone but never forgotten.

Hudson - one of my regular dog walking pals - and I took a stroll through the National Park this morning and were welcomed by some of the residents! Gotta love Killarney!
Zach and Benji have been with us for the past few days. Beautiful friendly dogs, fabulous temperament, great walkers and HAPPY as Larry! When our doggie guests are happy, so are we!😀😀
Scooby, an absolutely gorgeous Cavachon, who stayed with us recently decided that Breda was more interesting than the ball.😂😂
Charlie, the gorgeous Golden Retriever, heading up Pike Wood in Killarney on our morning walk. A gentle giant!
A short video clip of Hudson, the Fox Blood Red Labrador, on our morning walk. My first time seeing a lab of this colour. He is a beauty and loves his walk.
Pooka is my first dog walking "client" and absolutely loves to be out and about! What happens when you ask your dog if they want to go for a walk? Do they get excited? Do they start to prance around and run for the leash? That excitement tells you all you need to know about how your dog feel about walks. Walking is a great physical and mental exercise and dogs love to sniff around for extra stimulation. (Pooka could "sniff" for Ireland when out on his walks). Walking with your dog also helps with socialization by exposing them to different people, dogs and situations and this also helps to increase their confidence in different situations.
