INEXPENSIVE DIY HACKS for your Critter Nation cages! 🌟 we had some questions about how we set up our cages, so here’s a little preview of how we clean and set up our CN cages as quickly and cheaply as possible. We get discounted colorful thrift store pillowcases for our half level pans to cover them and give the rats a soft footing. Not only are they the perfect size but they can be easily thrown in the washer on a light load (and even line dried to be greener🌱) for the weekly cage clean. In the years since doing this, it has shaved off hours on cage cleaning time and can be a lot of fun to color coordinate decor. 🌈
