Animal Rescue of the Rockies is a 501(c)3 non profit Colorado corporation. Organized in 2003 by a group of friends who wanted to provide an alternative to the county shelter, A.R.R. has successfully provided foster homes and subsequent permanent homes to hundreds of dogs and cats to date. Because we don't have a shelter facility, we work exclusively with foster homes to give homeless pets the chan

ce to socialize in a home environment. This gives them the advantage of transitioning to their new forever homes much more easily and quickly. We help with transport, fostering, and adoptions whenever we can. Foster homes are always needed, and there never seem to be enough! 💚 Eli: 2-year-old, 46 lb neutered male. Potty trained, big and small dog-friendly, and loves to play. He knows basic obedience and walks well on a leash.

💚 Muriel: 2-year-old, 50 lb spayed female. Good with other dogs and ready for her forever home.

💚 Happy Tails! 💚

We’re thrilled to announce that K'La, now named Daisy, has been adopted after a year and a half in foster care!

When she first arrived, K'La was known as "Spicy Chi" due to her trust issues and fear-nipping, but over time, she transformed into a sweet, silly, and loving angel with just a few quirks. A huge thank you to her amazing foster parents, whose patience and dedication were key in her transformation.

Her new mom fell in love with Daisy the moment she saw her and understood the patience needed to earn her trust. The bond they formed was instant and heartwarming. 🥰 Her new mom says, "Daisy has been such a blessing. She’s ridiculously sweet and a perfect companion. She is an angel and the exact addition to my life I didn’t know I needed."

We couldn’t be happier for Daisy and her wonderful new family! 🎉

Lulu and Buster need a foster or adoptive home together! Their owner passed away and these two 1-year old cats need some TLC! Buster (male) and Lulu (female) are already spayed & neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and they both tested negative for FeLV/FIV and got a clean bill of health from our vet. Animal Rescue of the Rockies is searching for a forever home for this bonded pair, but if you can help foster them until a permanent home is found, we would love to hear from you. ADOPT BUSTER! He's a neutered 1-year old sweetheart who wants to find a loving home where he'll be an indoor-only cat. Buster is the cutest, coolest cat I've seen in a long time. He was so well behaved at his vet appointment where he got his vaccinations all updated. He explored the office, and even appeared to read the sign on the wall here - adorable! Buster's owner died recently, and he just wants to be loved. He'll be a wonderful addition to your home! Our recent adoption event at Lakeview Senior Living Colorado was a heartwarming success! The pups were on their best, cutest behavior, and the residents who came out to meet them absolutely loved the cuddles ♥️.

A special shoutout to the incredible residents who made and sold crafts to raise money for ARR!

We brought smiles to many faces, gave these foster pups a great experience, and raised some funds to save lives. Thank you to everyone who participated! 🌟🐶

💚 HAPPY TAILS 💚

Ms. Frizzle (the beautiful white kitty) and her adorable kittens were discovered in the spring at an elementary school. From her initial shyness, she has come a long way and recently found her forever home. We’re overjoyed for her! Her adopter shared this heartwarming update:

“A one-week update! Ms. Frizzle (keeping her name) is doing wonderfully! She adores her new big brother, and they’re always chasing each other around the house or playing with toys. She loves watching the birds from the window. After about 4 days, she finally felt comfortable enough to come out of hiding. Now, she enjoys being petted and even takes treats from my hand. She’s made amazing progress in just a week! 🥰”

A huge thank you to her foster who helped her come out of her shell and get ready for adoption.

Trina's transformation is truly remarkable. Once extremely fearful of people and reactive toward other dogs, she has overcome her challenges thanks to the dedicated work of Sarah Bellora.
