🚨 EHV-1 Update for Montana Horse Owners 🚨
Important travel update:
- All horses entering Montana must now have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued within 72 hours.
What to watch for:
Fever
Nasal discharge
Hind-end weakness or incoordination
Leaning on walls/fences for balance
Lethargy
Urine dribbling
Head tilt
Diminished tail tone
Pe**le paralysis (in males)
What to do:
If your horse has recently traveled or shows any of these signs, isolate immediately and call your veterinarian.
Your vigilance helps keep Montana’s horse community safe!
