Introducing our display and our two mascots! Our county final display consists of our products, our two dog mascots, a table with all our raw materials to make our product.

We would have dressed up as dog walkers, with designed t-shirts, with our logo on the front and with 'K9 Kompanions' on the back!

Our finished product! It took 12 production steps to get to the finished product! Sales before school closures were really taken off! Orders still be taken! 10) Then we measured the sizes for our two pouches - for empty and full doggie bags. 11) A 'Stitch-in-Time' in Tralee manufactured our zipped pouches from recycled black leather material that we supplied to them. It was off an old foot stool. 12) Finally, we super glued on our two zipped pouches, one on each side.

7) We created a hole at the end of each of the belts and inserted eyelets.
8) We inserted 2 metal clips into the holes using a key ring.
9) We sent the belts to a local tailor to get padding & material sown around the hand at the top - ‘The White Button’, Castleisland. The padding is recycled from an old chair and the black material is also recycled too!

Over the next few days, we will post the steps in making our product. Today we start with the first three steps.
Production steps:
1) Collect used leather belts from friends & family members
2) Cut off the buckles
3) Super glue two belts, over lapping at the top, to form the shape of a handle.

Production steps continued........:

4) Widen the punched holes with a screwdriver.
5) Insert 6mm silver fabric eyelets into each punched hole with an eyelet pliers, to give the belts a sleek design.
6) Stick self-adhesive velcro strips along the inside of both belts, so it can transform from two leads into one.

We are Junior Category Student Enterprise in Presentation Castleisland, Co. Kerry. Our product is dual dog lead, that can be used as a single or double lead. It is made from recycled leather belts and has two pouch attachments that aid with cleaning up after your pet! This is only newly designed logo!
