I’ve made the decision to close Leash The Beast.

Lots of things have got in the way of being able to put my time into this business and I have to prioritise the things that will go towards my future career.

If I’m honest, my heart is not in it anymore.

There is now an option on the website to purchase the Dog Walker’s Standard Lead Bundle and the Dog Walker’s Premium Bundle where you can save almost 25% compared to purchasing each item separately!

The standard bundle includes 4 x 4ft biothane leads (16mm width).

The premium bundle includes 6 x 4ft biothane leads (16mm width) and a 5m long line (9mm width).

Colours can be matching or not.

Product testing 🤓

15 metre long line using our 6mm PPM rope.

This will be a good option for small dogs as it’s much lighter than biothane.

Although it’s not waterproof, it’s still fast drying and easily cleaned. It apparently floats too which I will be testing out. And will be a much cheaper alternative to Biothane, especially if you want them longer.

What I’m paying attention to is that the binding holds up to being dragged through different surfaces, being regularly cleaned etc.

They won’t be for sale for a while but let me know if you’re interested!

Hoping I will have a date for the website to launch by this evening. I’ll put a countdown on my stories. Everything on the website will have a discount applied for a limited time.

It’s been quite a few weeks now with some hardware staying out of stock. Off the top of my head, black 25mm and brass collars may not be available. However, you will still be physically able to purchase them on the website (1. Because it’s not realistic for me to keep updating stock levels as I don’t keep much ‘in stock’ and 2. You can still take advantage of the discount). Just bear in mind, there may be quite a delay before receiving collars with that hardware.

Well I finally received my materials yesterday (late 🙄).

Still having issues getting hold of hardware, in particular 25mm buckles so if anyone is wanting a 25mm collar, please be patient.

On a more positive note, the website is so nearly there! I want to wait until I can get the hardware situation sorted but hopefully we will be up and running by next weekend with a discount on all products! 🤞🏻

So I’ve been in contact with my main supplier of biothane and rope to find out whether this delay is going to be a regular thing.

It seems as though there will be massive delays to the uk for a while for a combination of reasons (COVID, brexit, more orders than normal).

Thankfully I can see that my order is now in Exeter so there should be no problems with it reaching me tomorrow but this means it will have taken 11 days from ordering compared to the usual 5-7. There is no guarantee that it won’t take longer next time!

Therefore I’m going to have to extend the current wait time for receiving your items to 4-5 weeks to allow for the massive delays as well as all the delays with our own postal service.

Please be patient, it’s out of my control and I don’t want to have to change suppliers as this massively reduced the colour options whilst increasing all the prices!

Once this lot of materials have been received, I will think about when I’ll be doing another lot of custom orders. It will depend on the hardware situation.

Thought I’d give you all a little sneak peak of the website. We’re almost there. There’s lots of little behind the scenes things that have to be sorted out before it’s fully functional.

I was planning on opening custom order slots again on Monday but I’m really struggling to get hardware at the moment! I’ll keep you all updated when I can get some more in.

Materials for this lot of orders should be arriving this afternoon so they’ll be sent out next week.

Over the next few months, I will be trying to build my stock levels for materials so that I can reduce the wait time for some products. I can’t do this for every width and colour but I’d love to know what your favourite biothane colour is!

I’ve had a little influx of new followers so just thought I’d say hey and let you know how things work.

Whilst I’m still small and growing, I can’t keep material here in stock so I open up custom order slots every few weeks where you can place your order and I get in the materials I need to make it. Your order is normally done within 2-3 weeks.

I’m currently working on a website to make ordering from me easier but I’m not very techy so it’s taking a bit longer than planned. For now, DM me to discuss your order and I give you the details to pay through PayPal. If you need an invoice I can email you one.

I only send parcels via Royal Mail Tracked 24 (as they lost a very large order of mine when I used regular first class 😫) so postage is a flat rate of £5.50 for the uk.

I do have some ready to ship premade designs available at all times which are in my highlights. These can be purchased at any time and will be with you in a few days.

And yes, I was the one who wound this lead up this time (specifically to take a photo because it’s for Wilson😂)

I absolutely love lightweight biothane. So easy to handle. Easy to wipe clean. Glides through grass without the material getting caught on things. And doesn’t weigh the dog down!
