Happy Thursday Puppychino Pack. It is a cold and wet one today!! Please keep our puppychino friends nice and warm today.
🐶 Here are some tips from our good friends over at Dogtopia of San Antonio - Alamo Ranch to keeping your pups warm are safe today.

The temperatures are dropping in San Antonio! Keep you and your pup safe and warm with these tips!
Tag a friend to share these tips with them!
1. Protect their paws- Limit the time on cold pavement as much possible. The cold weather can cause dry paws and cause them to crack. Get them some level of paw protection such as winter boots or socks!
2. Keep an eye out for Anti-Freeze- Closely monitor your pups when they are outside. Many areas will be putting Anti-Freeze on the roads to prevent ice, but this substance is poisonous to ingest.
3. Bundle them up!- Just because dogs have fur doesn't mean they are protected from the cold! Keep their sleeping areas warm with extra blankets. Provide them with a thick sweater or jacket, especially if they have shorter thinner fur!
4. Stay indoors when possible- No one wants to be out in the cold longer than they have to, but if you or your pup need to be outside bundle yourselves up as much as possible and provide yourselves with extra water and snacks. Take shelter from strong winds when they occur and take plenty of breaks.
5. Wipe your Paws!- The cold weather means it's going to be wet, be it from rain, ice or snow. No matter the weather your pups paws will most likely get a little dirty from being outside, so do a quick wipe down of their paws to get any debris off them before they go back inside.
