It has been a fun and busy summer raising and training these puppies who are searching for their forever homes. They are all rocking their training, love snuggles, people, and other dogs and a ready to share their love with their future families.

I have had quite a few inquiries on upcoming litters so I wanted to give everyone an update. The last 5 puppies currently available are the last of our 2024 litters. I have plans for one litter in the spring of 2025 and that will likely be our very last Frenchton/Frenchie litter.

The last 5 years have been such an incredible experience raising some amazing puppies, finding their wonderful families and seeing them grow up and enrich the lives of their families has been so special. However, all good things must come to an end and I have slowly been working towards wrapping up our Frenchton program.

The primary reason is that it ties myself and my family down quite substantially especially when we have puppies that we are raising. Our kids are older now and we are hoping to do some travelling in the near future and have the ability to be away for a night or two.

The cost of breeding and raising our puppies and adults is quite significant because of how we raise them. I don’t cut corners whether it is health testing, food, equipment, training, or vet care I always go above and beyond for our dogs and puppies. Due to our smaller scale breeding, I have not yet been able to cover our operating costs each year and have had to utilize our raw pet food business further to help cover costs.

There has also been a significant increase in Frenchton breeders over the last few years and that has made it increasingly difficult to place our puppies. I have a screening process that each of our puppy families goes through to ensure they are the right fit for one of our puppies. I find about 10% of all applicants actually end up adopting one of our puppies. This year the ghosting after applying has become a very frustrating obstacle in placement, typically due to the family being in a rush and going to another breeder.

Vision and Benedict came on a little road trip today to visit Penny and her family, who are great friends of ours, and their neighbour Simon too! Benedict and Simon were reunited for a couple of zoomie sessions and they had a blast. These two had so much fun, they are going to sleep very well tonight.

Benedict is the last puppy available from our Bridgerton litter. He is searching for his perfect family, though I won’t be sad if he stays 😉

A little car ride for London and the teenager and just like that it is nap time. London is waiting for her perfect family.

I will be heading to Red Deer on Sunday with several puppies to meet up with their families coming from Calgary. Our puppies are ready to head home on Thursday. With Bridgertons season 3 part 2 out today I thought it would be a perfect time for a Bridgerton litter update. Some of these cuties are waiting for their perfect family.

They are all crated trained overnight between 7-8 hours and crate naps throughout the day as well. They are all doing well with socialization and learning to be calm in new and exciting scenarios. Doing their business outside about 90% off the time too!

The cuties from the Taylor Swift litter are almost 8 weeks old! They are doing fantastic with their litter training and crate training and head to the vet next week for their second check up and vaccine. Once their vet check up is complete they are ready for meet and greets to be matched with their perfect families.

Finally introducing the Taylor Swift litter. My wonderful friend Justine has been working hard to raise this litter of 9 puppies. This is her very first litter she has raised and mama Millie’s first litter too and there was no easing in to it with such a big litter! They have both done absolutely amazing and these babies have been raised with so much love and care using the same methods and training we use for all our litters.

They have all been health checked and had their first vaccine. They head back in next week for a second check up and vaccine and they will soon be ready to head to there perfect families.

The Taylor Swift litter introduction is coming soon. They head for their 6 week check up and first vaccine tomorrow. I will have individual pictures and names posted this week. The Bridgerton Litter

We continue moving through our puppy culture training and everyday they are moving and learning a little bit more. Their sweet puppy breath is delightful as always and their sweet kisses and snuggles fill my heart with joy.

It was an exhausting, stressful, and emotional first two weeks as two babies from this litter struggled to nurse from the get go. I worked closely with our vet to do the very best I could for them. I gave it my all with round the clock tube feedings, heat, subcutaneous fluids, oxygen and a late Saturday night emergency vet visit. I am very sad to share that no matter how hard I tried we lost two girls just after they turned two weeks old. I am doing my best to keep up on posting but your patience’s is appreciated while we grieve these babies. It has been a hard loss for my family and I. Rest in puppy paradise Koala and Cow, you were both loved so dearly in your short time here.

The lovely mama to be, Penny, expecting her third and final litter anytime now. She is such a beautiful mama.

I have always wanted to do a little maternity shoot for our mamas and with Penny expecting her last litter I knew I had to make it happen. I had hoped to get a nice sunny picture outside with her but the weather and my camera battery didn’t line up this week lol!

We are excited to announce we have two confirmed litters expected to arrive closer to the end of March. We are looking forward to a busy spring filled with sweet little puppy kisses, snuggles, and puppy breath.

Our two expecting females are Penny (blue brindle pied) and Millie (black brindle merle). We will be accepting three more families for our waitlist for these two litters. Our puppies come with a health guarantee and are from health tested parents free from allergies. We spend many hours training our puppies for the real world starting with early neurological stimulation at just 3 days old, litter training starting at 3 weeks old, kennel training starting at 4 weeks old, and exposure to collars, leashes, car rides, and some basic commands as well. We send them home with health record, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, puppy pack and guide on bringing your puppy home that includes many training tips for their first year as well as a detailed breakdown of the schedule they are on when they head home. We also provide lifetime breeder support from pet sitting, training, health, or nutrition we are here to support all of our pup parents.

*Sweet little Curly has found his forever home.*

Mister Curly is somehow still here and hoping to find his forever home for Christmas. He is a super sweet little guy, a bit more docile, loves kids, is fully crate trained, and rocking his house training too. Further information about him is up on our website site under available puppies.

We have been quiet on here lately as we have been busy getting the last of our raw food orders out to our wonderful clients. I have fully updated our website with available puppies as well as upcoming breedings plans for early 2024, more to come too. These are of course all tentative as Mother Nature plays a hand in all of it.

We have started to accept a small amount of people on our waitlist for our spring litters. Molly’s litter has two more spaces available and Penny’s final litter has one space remaining. Brother Vision and sister Penny always have a special place in each others hearts. Even after being apart while Penny was living the princess life at her guardian home they still absolutely love each other and are always snuggling together ❤️ it fills my heart with joy to see the unconditional love they have for each other

Penny and her daughter got to spend a few weeks together while she was here for a pupcation. We love having our past pups come for a visit and lots of frenchie play. It is always wonderful to see the dogs they have grown in to.

We raise our puppies with the puppy culture training program which helps prepare them for a successful transition in to their new home and sets them up for greater success with future training as well as new/stressful experiences. We start with early neurological stimulation (ENS) at 3 days old and build from there. This helps shape a calm, confident dog who looks to their owner for guidance in new scenarios. Here you see the manding they were both taught during their upbringing in our home. It is training a dog to present a specific behaviour when they want something such as food. We teach them to sit calmly and give eye contact when they want something pets, treats, toys etc. and here they are politely begging for food while I am dishing out their dinners.

Photo updates of Tink and Curly. I couldn’t decide which ones were my favourite so I’m posting all of my favourites from today.

These two cuties are working hard on their potty training, crate training, and manding. We continue to take them on outings with us maintaining a calm atmosphere to further their socialization.

We save the cutest little girl for last from the Peter Pan litter. Miss Tinkerbell who we call Tink for short.

This little girl has been getting some extra tlc to make sure she hit the 5 lb mark before she starts her search for her forever home. Well she is officially over 5 lb now and growing like crazy with the addition of raw food in her diet since coming to our house a little over a week ago. She is rocking crate training and is using the doggy door all by herself to go potty outside. She has about a 90% success rate at going outside so house training is well started. She is as sweet as can be and bounces with excitement whenever we talk sweetly to her or play with her. She is very affection and loves to cuddle and get all the attention. And just look at those tiger stripes 😍

Curly made himself extra comfy by using the kibble bowl as a bum pillow and the water bowl as a head pillow. And of course a real pillow for his entire body lol!

This sweet little boy is searching for his forever family. He is so sweet, loves kids, is crate trained, litter trained, and using the dog door to go potty outside frequently as well. All of this makes house training a breeze and you don’t have to worry about the long and loud first few weeks of crate training because I have already done it and he will adjust easily to his new crate. Did I mention he has the cutest curly tail ever? He is the first curly tail we have ever had here and it’s just too cute! Our Simba is this handsome dudes dad :)

It took me a little while to figure out a theme to go with for these four boys. We are huge fans of Disney and after some time thinking about it it clicked. Peter Pan and the Lost Boys of Neverland!

I had to look up the name of the Lost Boys and when I saw the name Curly I knew it suited this handsome brindle boy perfectly. I mean just look at that tail 🥰. Curly is available searching for his family.

Next we have Tootles the humble boy of the bunch who doesn’t try to steal all the attention from everyone else and is so good at waiting his turn. He is searching for his family.

Third we have little Nibs who is true to his name as the smallest boy of the group. He has found his home.

And the leader of the group and always first to explore and greet anyone is Peter Pan. He has found his forever family.

Yondu’s beautiful daughter arrived last week from a pairing to a merle 50/50 Frenchton. She is doing great with crate training, litter training, and we introduced the dog door and they are all going outside to potty about 90% of the time now. She is searching for her furever family 🥰

These three sweet girls have completed their second vet check, vaccine, and microchip and are available. They have been confirmed healthy, sound puppies and are officially ready to start their new adventures.

The lovely miss Coral. This girl is true to her Boston terrier side and is a spunky little lady who loves to bounce around and play. Her beautiful red coat is coming out nicely and soon all the dark hair on her body with lighten to match the rest of her body.

Today was the big day! We took all six babies in to see the wonderful Dr. Dani at for their first check up and vaccine. They were all confirmed healthy puppies and were so brave for their shots! Our 11 Frenchton puppies coming inside from playtime and potty breaks, doing our in the crate routine for nap time before I head out with the kids for swimming lessons. They know the routine pretty solidly now and as you can see they have no qualms about crate time and hop right in. These guys are absolutely rocking their potty training and are going potty outside about 80-90% of the time and the rest of the time they hit their litter boxes that are off in the corner in this video. This means the transition in to their new homes goes much more smoothly as training is already well started with a very solid foundation for you to build on. The Bridgerton babies had some great positive exposure this week to giant dog breeds from our livestock guardian dogs. Marley was intrigued but it was a pretty solid nope from Frank. He apparently had better things to do lol! This is a great example of proper puppy socialization. Seeing and experiencing new things in a calm and positive manner. It is so important in the first 16 weeks of a puppies life to meet and experience a wide variety of people and animals while maintaining a calm and positive environment for your puppy so when faced with similar experiences in the future they maintain a calm and positive approach. We introduce our puppies to a variety of animals and people. Check out this recall at 6 weeks old. These guys are catching on to all their training really well! Recall is so important throughout a dog’s life to help keep them safe. That is why we start our puppies recall training between 3-4 weeks old, when they start solids. I do the puppy call and kissy noise everytime I put their food down and they just catch right on. Once it is a solid recall, we add the command words “come on”. Puppy meet and greets are this Sunday May 5th. I have two more spaces for the Bridgerton litter meet and greet. First car ride today in preparation for their first vet visit tomorrow. They all did amazing! They head to their first vet visit at @rangeroadveterinary tomorrow for their first check up and high titre parvo vaccine. We like our puppies to have extra protection against parvo when they head to their homes so we start with parvo vaccine at 6 weeks and DAPP vaccine at 8 weeks. I will begin reaching out to our wait list for puppy selection this weekend so stay tuned. It has been a busy few weeks here with Penny’s puppies. I have also been working with my wonderful friend Justine to raise Millie’s litter of 10 puppies! I will be working on litter posts and updates this weekend but for now enjoy this adorable pupdate. Penny’s puppies had a week full of milestones. I coughed while in the puppy room this week and every puppy jumped which means ears are open! Tiny stubby legs are getting stronger and they are starting to walk. Eyes opened last week but are more clear and focusing on us as we talk to them this week. Teeth have started to come in so it’s time to introduce some solids. Voices have been found and chewbacca squirrel sounds have started. One of my favourite milestones is when they start to play with each other too. What will the puppies learn over the next week? I start to focus on shaping emotional responses. Not all puppies enjoy being picked up, snuggled, disturbed while they sleep, handled roughly, etc. I help shape a happy emotional response to any annoyance or conflict our puppies may experience in their future. I also start adjusting their whelping box this week so one side is for going potty and the other side is for sleeping to begin the basics of potty training - we don’t poop and pee where we sleep and eat. The whelping room is almost setup. I just have to connect the camera and set myself up a bed so I can be nice and close to Penny and her puppies for the first few weeks.
