By now, I'm sure you have been spreading the word about these treats, if you have bought some and saw the results yourself. Dogs LOVE them. The most common thing is people ask, "Why?"
1. Why not just buy treats?
2. Why pay so much for treats?
3. Why are these good for my dog?
So let's break it down.
1. Not all treats are healthy for dogs. Even store bought treats can be unhealthy. Plus, they are loaded with preservatives to make them last on the shelf longer. Starting with some of the well known unhealthy, but cheaper treats. Pup-Peroni, for example, is filled with Meat by-products, caramel coloring, and potassium sorbate for a preservative. Even more expensive treats, Blue Buffalo, uses preservatives. Their Health Bars, baked with bacon, egg, and cheese have ingredients like Dried Egg Product and Cheese Powder. They even use preservatives, however the ones used in these treats are more healthy for dogs, but they are still preservatives. The treats you buy from me are made with natural ingredients and preservative free. When I say Sweet Potatoes and Apples are the main ingredient, I mean it. It means that I cooked and mashed the sweet potatoes, and peeled, cored, and grated the apples myself.
2. When it comes down to it, my treats aren't that expensive. No, I don't have a huge selection of flavors...yet. However, stop amd think of the amount of time I take to shop for ingredients, cook them, prepare the treats, bake them, package, and a lot of times, deliver them. That is a lot of time spent on 1 order of treats, so $6 for 2 dozen isn't all that expensive when a 1lb bag of Blue Buffalo treats cost $7 to buy and those treats are mass produced, not hand made.
3. Every treat is made with fresh, natural ingredients. This means that your dog will get fiber and beta- carotene from Pumpkin that helps aid in digestion and is low in calorie shop you don't have to feel guilty about giving your dog the treat. Or it means that your dog will get the fiber, vitamins A & C, omega -3 & -6, and antioxidants from the apples. These benefits are not diluted due to treat processing.
If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask. And I hope that you'll recommend these tasty treats to a dog lover you know. Thank you for reading.
