While we love puppies, our little shelter is in no way the best place to give birth and raise tiny pups! Sasha is a terrier mix and approximately 20lbs so shed hardly take up any space. If you can take in this sweet mama dog and give her a safe and warm place to have her puppies and raise them, please let us know!

Meet Roscoe 🐾🐾
Look at this sweet face! Roscoe (46508653) has been at the shelter since January 25, 2021. This 4-year-old cutie is the complete package: house- and crate-trained, loves making new dog buddies, is fond of adventures, and so much more! He enjoyed a Dog's Day Out, where he went to Sean Patrick's and sat quietly next to his volunteer at the bar. He walks nicely on leash and rode like a good boy in the car. Afterward, we was rewarded with a puppuccino! He's simply perfect! Come by the shelter and adopt this 55-pound boy! We know you want to!

"My 82 yr old mom can not take care of her two Rottweilers anymore. My 90 yr old dad won’t allow me to bring them to his back yard. My heart is broken to let them go.
A male (Jack) and female (Shyla). The dogs are kept outside in a large fenced yard. They respond when their name is called, love children and have lots of love to give. They have never bitten anyone, Shyla snapped at me once but, LOL , she warned me three times that a toy belong to her. She is a little more possessive with her toys than Jack.
They bark if anyone passes by the fence and at trash trucks. They are shy when they first meet someone but, warm up quickly. Jack has not been eating well since mom was hospitalized with COVID last year.
They are both neutered / spayed, and are about 8yrs old weighing about 60 to 70 lbs. I hope they go to a good home to enjoy at this age in their life."

Meet Fanta 💖
This is an update from Fanta’s current foster 🐾🐾
Fanta is an active pup, even though she is just over a year old. She loves playing tug of war, chewing on rawhide bones, and getting lots of attention. She loves hanging outside in a pool. I plan to take her to the river on a future weekend and see how she does with that. She does not bark or bite...only play bite. When it time for bed, she is a good girl and sleeps on her own bed in the bedroom. She does not whine/cry, but she does demand her attention by jumping up onto people.

Max (45845036) has very few needs, but one thing he knows he needs is space to roam. He enjoys taking a walk on the wild side, cruising around, and taking in the sights and sounds. At about 70 pounds, Max is suuuuuuper fluffy, and he has the sweetest underbite. This 4-year-old dude would prefer a low-key home where he can just hang out with adults or grown children; since small critters (humans included) make him uncomfortable. Looking for a companion to lay by your feet at night and take a walk in the woods during the day? Max is your man! Adopt him for only $30 until the end of June!

I wanted to give an update on my foster dog Winona. First things first…I renamed her 💗Hazel💗.
4 days with Hazel and here is what I know:

☀️loves to sleep and sleeps in late 🙌🏼👍🏼
☀️loves the water
☀️crate trained with very little separation anxiety
☀️took 4 days to hear her bark and it’s adorable

She really is an amazing dog. Goofy personality and a very light activity level. She likes to chill but also likes to have a good time. The good thing is she adapts to whatever mood you need her to be in which makes working from home easy 🥰

Joey is house-trained, easygoing couch dog. He likes the good life: watching golf until he falls asleep, maybe a fishing trip or two, hanging out with his older kiddo friends (he was great with a 12-year-old). Joey’s a family man just missing the family. Joey is pretty neutral around other dogs- they leave him alone, he leaves them alone, and he’s happy. You'd never guess it, but Gris LOVES water. She will play fetch and jump right into a baby pool with her favorite toy, then spring out and run around the yard with the biggest grin on her face. She is house-trained, too! This 60-pound chunk of love does everything with gusto. Let's WALK she says, let's PLAY, let's CHILL! 🙂 Gris always looks like she's listening to you because she has a slight head tilt. We think she's learning! Not all victims of domestic violence are two-legged, unfortunately. Poor Presscot ended up in the shelter when his family had to flee a bad situation. He was clearly loved, but has experienced some scary stuff. He is nervous when meeting new people and flinches if you move too quickly. He has made friends with men and women at the shelter, though, and his former family said he enjoyed playing with dogs. What a striking guy Shiloh is! This great dane, lab cross loves to chase after balls and toys and is very responsive to his people. You can tell he is always thinking!
