Traditionally, Butter Tea is used in Tibet to replenish the nutritional deficiency caused by the lack of produce in the plateau environment. It is believed that the nutritional properties of raw milk and raw butter can strengthen one’s physique, nourish the intestines and stomach, and energize the body. The aromatic substances in Butter Tea can dissolve fat and help digestion.

Better Butter Tea is formulated to improve nutrient utilization, benefiting the kidneys, liver, and heart, endocrine system, and mental health.

Parsley contains relatively high levels of calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium. These minerals bind to arsenic, lead, mercury, and cadmium, allowing them to be more efficiently removed from the body.

Dandelion root has been shown to increase HDL cholesterol, reduce oxidative damage, and support the detox organs. Traditionally, dandelion root has been used as a diuretic — a natural way to eliminate excess fluid retention. This improves blood flow and nutrient circulation.

Yucca is a rich source of steroidal saponins. It has the ability to reduce the inflammatory response. Yucca also inhibits the production of nitric oxide and is effective at killing giardia protozoa.

The raw milk and raw butter for Better Butter Tea are from the beautiful milk from happy, grass fed, pastured goats.

Two of my friends (who are also science nerds that enjoy experimenting in their spare time) discovered that you can make your own fermented raw goat’s milk by combining an Adored Beast probiotic with Green Juju Raw Goat’s Milk and letting it sit on your counter for 24 hours. That’s it! 🤯

➡️ Add 2 tsp of Fido’s Flora (🐶 a canine specific probiotic with SBOs) per quart of Green Juju Goat’s Milk.
or
➡️ Add 1/2 tsp other Adored Beast probiotics (Love Bugs, Healthy Gut, Gut Soothe) per quart of Green JuJu Goat’s Milk.

Learn more about this from Billy here: https://greenjujukitchen.com/raw-goats-milk/

🥛 This is a delicious and nutritious topper for any diet for both dogs and cats! 🐱 🐶

Wild fermentation — the process we incorporate in Bam’s Beets and Lua’s Fermented Golden Paste — uses the naturally occurring healthy bacteria and yeasts in the food for fermentation. Sea salt is added to lower the pH and create the right environment for naturally occurring bacteria to grow. Then they go to work digesting the sugars and starches present.

This means all of the healthy probiotics and healthy yeast come from the food itself and, in the case of vegetables, are soil based. These friendly bacteria also make the food more digestible, add vitamins, organic acids and extra enzymes!

We chose wild fermentation because the naturally occurring bacteria are different in each batch. That creates a more diverse microbiome. The alternative, feeding a product already inoculated with probiotics, would lead to monoculturing. Too much of certain strains (even if they’re good!) will throw everything else off balance.

Wild fermentation is the secret sauce for a strong and healthy microbiome.

One of our favorite new combinations: Just Greens + Raw Goat's Milk.

If you can can combine any two things to enhance your pup's diet, this is the place to start.

Why? Because of probioitcs and prebiotics. ... Probiotics are the live, healthy bacteria that help boost your dog’s digestive system and help it break down food. Prebiotics, often found in high-fiber foods, become food for that good bacteria that is present inside a healthy microbiome.

Our Just Greens Blend is an awesome source of probiotics. Meanwhile, our new Raw Goat’s Milk contains both natural prebiotics and probiotics. You can also ferment it with your choice of additional probiotics.

Put them together and you’ve got a recipe for a strong, healthy digestive system.

Love these products!

Summer is here, and it’s only getting hotter. While often fun for us, the heat can get pretty miserable for our pets with their thick coats. Luckily, there are easy things we can do to not only keep them hydrated but boost their nutrition — all while giving them a treat they’ll love.

Three of our favorite products for hydration are our Bison Bone Broth, our Duck Bone Broth and our new Raw Goat’s Milk. Each of these products offers great electrolytes which help keep your pup hydrated. Think of it like natural Gatorade!

Each product approaches hydration from a different angle, and that variety helps ensure that your dog is ready to beat the summer heat!

Can’t wait.

Pure. Simple. Raw. ... We are insanely excited about our final new product of the week, Raw Goat’s Milk!

But ... it’s been done before, right? What makes Green Juju’s Raw Goat’s Milk different from all the others out there? Well, let me tell you.

Virtually every other raw milk product on the pet market is already fermented or has the same probiotics added to every bottle. We offer pure, unfermented goat’s milk because then you have three options for how to feed it based on your pet’s unique needs.

1. Feed pure Raw Goat’s Milk with nothing added — Raw milk is nature’s most perfect food and, for most healthy pets, this is the best and easiest way to go.

2. Ferment the milk with a rotating cast of probiotics — You can ferment the milk in 24 hours with your choice of probiotics. And you can rotate them often (not an option with other milks on the market) for a balanced microbiome and the best results.

3. Make the milk lactose-free — For the most sensitive pets, you can add lactase enzymes and, after 24 hours in the fridge, you’ll have incredibly healthy, lactose-free goat’s milk.

We discussed it all on today’s Green Juju Live. And to go a step further, Billy has also filmed a video where he breaks down the benefits of all three ways to feed our Raw Goat’s Milk and explains exactly how you can do each of them at home.

New from Green Juju!

First Bailey’s Blend and now Bam has a product named for her, too!

If you didn’t catch Green Juju Live tonight, you missed the unveiling of Bam’s Beets — the first of three new products we’re introducing this week! It’s the result of true collaboration, blending my knowledge of plants with Billy’s expertise in fermentation.

Bam’s Beets are made with organic red beets and purple cabbage fermented as a whole food source of probiotics, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and more. It can be fed to enhance any type of diet, including kibble, canned, dehydrated, freeze dried, raw or home-cooked foods.

One of the things that makes Bam's Beets unique is that it is wild fermented, which means your pet is getting a more diverse and unique range of probiotics in every bite.

The last time I posted this it went viral 🤯

It rubbed some the right way and some the wrong way with lots of different opinions about my opinion ... and I still say the same 💁‍♀️

It seems that the ultimate goal for dog owners is to have a dog they can bring to a dog park because that must mean their dog can tolerate and deal with anything 🧐

And I wonder why that's so important?

I understand that many owners with this as their goal in mind, doing it with the best intentions, assuming they’re doing the right thing and are improving the quality of their dog’s life. And for a small amount of dogs, it can be a great experience.

But…

If you have a dog that doesn't really enjoy other dogs, you don't do your dog any favor trying to get him to a point where he can "tolerate" being at the dog park...usually it's quite the opposite and you'll lose your dogs trust that you got his back.

Or if you have a dog that enjoys playing really rough, why is it so important that he can "play" with the miniature doodle at the park rather than finding him a personal play mate that is on his level?

There's many reasons why I don't bring my dog to a dog park regardless of how well tempered and balanced my dog would be...the environment is just way too uncontrolled.

It's like going to a night club, you never know what to expect LOL

The fact that the majority of dogs are dog selective, meaning they prefer a more social circle than having to hug and kiss every stranger they come in contact with, is just another one.

But one of the big reasons I don't bring any dogs there is, because it really is a very unnatural environment for dogs and if you'd like to understand more about this, read my article on that topic on my website blog https://www.k9possible.com/single-post/2016/04/05/why-dog-parks-are-unnatural-how-to-properly-socialize-your-dog

I love this story about Maggie❤️

CLUES TO BEING THE WORLD'S LONGEST LIVED DOG! 🐶

Maggie, a 30-year old Kelpie from Australia🇦🇺 was reportedly the oldest dog in the world from Victoria, Australia. Brian McLaren (Maggie’s guardian) shared with us that she spent her days working on his dairy farm among sheep and cattle, running on average 12.5 miles a day, seven days a week, for two decades!

In our book, The Forever Dog, she is one of the many examples of long-lived dogs that spent ample time outside on a daily basis, got plenty of exercise, had a low-stress lifestyle, and consumed some raw, unprocessed foods. And though genetics certainly plays a role, it is no coincidence that the one consistent variable among all of the oldest dogs in the world was daily rigorous exercise - rain, snow or shine.🌧❄️☀️ And while most of our dogs aren’t working a dairy farm, there are simple things we can do to improve our dog’s health and longevity.

In our interview with Dr. David Sinclair,👨🏼‍🔬 the world’s leading geneticist from Harvard Medical School shared, just keeping our dogs lean and giving them 5-10 minutes of breathlessness every day, heart-thumping exercise, can contribute to slowing down the aging process.🧬

You can read more about these long-lived dogs and our more suggestions for what you can do to help maximize your dog’s health in our new book: ForeverDog.com
