BREAKING: Minnesota Pheasant Numbers Booming for 2020 Season

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ annual roadside pheasant survey showed a 42 percent increase in the state pheasant index from 2019 and a 37 percent increase over the 10-year average, including an eyebrow-raising 146 percent increase over last year in southwestern Minnesota.

Happy Thursday!! Youkilis turns 9 years old today!

We rescued Youkilis when he was 1 month old and feel like the luckiest pup parents. He is incredibly intelligent and loving, and loves more than anything to interact with people. He doesn't hunt with us typically, but he prefers to be with all of us so we'll take him out from time to time.. and he has a blast even if he's not quite sure what his job is. Youkilis also volunteers as a therapy dog!

We love you Youkilis –– happy birthday!

Did you know that puppies can get massages too?
Not only does it aid in muscle development and relaxation, it also helps them get acclimated to human touch –– this can be especially helpful for future vet visits, therapy dog training and general socializing.

Happy to you from the birthday boy!

Murphy, our bird dog, is 11 years young today and doesn't act a day over 2! We've shortened his time out in the field in recent years although if it were up to him, he'd be out there the whole time with us. As Murphy ages, we want to make sure we are aware of his body's needs... even if Murphy ignores them himself!

Here's to another year with him by our side, as a hunter and as a family member. We love you Murph!

This is Jackson and I’m in love! 🥰 It was so good meeting this cutie tonight!
Jackson is paralyzed from the ‘waist’ down — although there is some hope for that left hind leg! Tonight we worked on loosening up his shoulders (which obviously carry and solely mobilize his body), and stimulating the muscles in his lower half.
Can’t wait to see this cute face again!
