LEAD - Lindal Exercise Area for Dogs I am looking at attending the village meeting on Thursday 6-7-23 to see about a secure area for dogs

I don’t know who this is reaching but just because the kids park was a no go it has not deterred me. I’ve noticed over the years that the village green is sitting there going to waste and intend to attend the next council meeting and see about having the bottom area of the green (the wooded area) given to the dogs of the village. We dog walkers seem to walk endlessly around the green and it’s never used by anyone other than the yoga people in summer.
I’m sure the villagers who live around the green are tired of their car wheels and their walls smelling of dog p*e.

I’m going to attend the village committee meeting again this Thursday to see what the chances are of acquiring a small section of the green for our pooches needs

Sorry all but it was a non starter. The kids field is owned by the school and the local schools trust and the committee members don’t think they would be willing to let canines onto the field

I have had a formal invite to the meeting this Thursday at the village hall to start the ball rolling in regards to the dog park and have spoken to the lady who does the friday night bingo sessions who offered to hold some bingo nights to raise funds for bits like fencing, posts, an enclosed bin and a couple of seats. Speaking with several dog walkers there is definitely interest in an area for dogs to be able to run free off their leads.
Will report Friday upon the result of the meeting but initial groundwork looks good
