🥜🥜 Cute Little Peanut!! 🥜🥜

I am a lovable 9-week-old, male chi-weenie weighing about 3.6 lbs. I am new to Almost Home and super excited to find my forever home. My foster mom says I am super sweet and full of energy. I am good with other dogs and cats. Sometimes I bark at my foster mom's cats, but I am nice to them. You see, I am just so curious in this new world.

I like my foster fur sister; she is a lab and very gentle with me. I love to play tug of war with my leash or fetch my toys for you. I do well in my kennel at night and when my foster parents leave. I am usually stay dry overnight. I am working on potty training. I go to the door when I need out or I do circles. My foster mom has learned it means I need to go out. I do need exercise daily or have a fenced in yard so I can run. I love being outside. I dream of a family that will spend time with me so I can learn some manners and how to be the best dog that I can be. My foster mom has gotten me new chews to help cure my teething phase. I love to be with my foster mom on the couch. It's my favorite spot. I love belly rubs and playing with my foster mom's kids. Until I get past my teething phase, kids 12 and up may be best.

⭐⭐ 😂 Hey Wookie: "Yoda one for me!!" 😂 ⭐⭐

I’m Wookie. I’m estimated at 3 years old male terrier mix and super sweet. Since I can’t talk, I can’t give you much background on me, but my foster mama says that I was wandering the streets for a while and found a nice young family that realized I needed help and put me on a path to find a loving, kind forever family. Then my now foster mama said she’d take me and ensure I find the best family ever!

What my foster mama can tell you is that I am a sweet, loving boy who is a bit timid sometimes but when I get to know you, I’m a snuggle bug and happy to be around hoomans. My foster house has 2 dogs and I’m ok with the dog that is relaxed, but the other one, the hyper dog, isn’t my thing so I’m probably best suited as an only dog. Cats are curious to me - there are 2 in the house and they hiss at me so being an “only” is probably my way to go.

I am mostly ok being picked up but sometimes I get unsure. And right now, my paws are off limits. It’s still going to take me some time to feel 100% comfy and trusting.

I am an excellent walker (better than the dogs I’m living with). I’m great in a crate. I’m eating better but still not as much as my mom would like (although the other dogs in the house are pigs!)
And OMG toys, with squeaks, is my ultimate happiness!

🦆Meet Ducky!!🦆 Ducky is one cutest 8-month-old, pups you will want to meet! I’m a handsome male, 30lbs, Husky-Shepherd mix. My foster family thinks I’m going to grow to be a big boy! I can be a bit shy and am still learning humans are not all that bad. My foster mom is working with me on trusting humans. But of course, it all takes time. When I warm up to my fosters, I will give them a sniff or lick but still learning they are here to love on me. It’s a work in progress. It helps when my foster dad lays down on the ground and lets me come to him so that he isn’t so tall and scary. I lay next to him until I am sure he isn’t a monster and then I creep up to him slowly but still with enough space to figure things out. I do like my crate for it is a safe place for me.

I absolutely love to be outdoors, but DEFINITELY need a fenced in backyard as I don’t necessarily come very easily. I am learning to come with some coaxing and following my foster siblings helps. I have two bigger sisters that I like to play with, and they are teaching me how to be a dog. There are 2 cats that live here too; I really don’t mind them. I want to play with them at times but for the most part I ignore them more than they ignore me.

I am very proud that I am almost potty trained! I whimper/bark to go outside when I really need to go out. My foster siblings are teaching me to ring a bell.
My foster mom got me a slip proof puppy harness so that I can’t be an escape artist while on my leash. The leash is still scary for me so my foster mom is helping me take it slow.

Are you that special person for our rare and special Theo?

Hi, my is Theo and what you'll notice about me first is that I'm VERY handsome! Yep, I'm a 3 y/o, male, chocolate Standard Poodle who happily arrived in Michigan on August 6. As regal as I am, I have special needs. You see, I am blind. But don't let that scare you,

I get around just fine and I'm happy as can be. My foster mom fell in love with me on day one. She took me in the shower and used her favorite natural soap on my coat - a coat that doesn't shed at all. In fact, they call it hair. I love going for long walks and do perfectly on the leash -- I met a couple of big neighbor dogs and get along with them just fine. I know how to sit and love when my foster mom lets me put my front paws on her lap. I am a lover and always want to be close to my person. I sleep next to her bed in my own dog bed and don't wake up until morning when mom does. I have a little foster sister who is a toy poodle and we coexist perfectly in my foster home. Hello everyone! My name is Reese and I am a miniature poodle. The vet says that I am 8-10 years old but I still act like a puppy. I was wondering the streets all by myself, but thankfully Almost Home saved my life! I am currently thriving at my foster home with another doggy and 3 kitties. ❤️🐶Loraine the perfect lil’ pup!

Hello friends!

I’m Loraine, but my today-family calls me Boo, or Boo-berry! I’m the cutest, gentlest, tiniest little female, house-trained, 12 lb, 3 y/o, Wire-hair Terrier you’ll ever meet. I had a rough time before meeting my today-family, so I started out pretty frightened of anything that moved or made noises. I didn’t even like the silver bowl my food was in, so I had to be convinced to eat anything out of the gentle hands of my foster mom.

After a couple weeks here, I’m feeling like a new pup! I’m coming out of my shell and starting to play with my medium sized foster brother pup. He makes me want to smile, and prance, and run, and sometimes even steal his tennis ball to get his attention. But I still don’t like really sudden movements or loud noises, so I’ll go to my crate or some other small space when something spooks me. I am a little shy with new people, but I come around quick.

Once I warm up to you, I’ll never want to leave your side. I’ll come to you when you whistle. I prefer the ladies but can be ok with the guys and older children if they are gentle and patient with me. I have no desire to run away once I’m attached, so once you’re my family, I’m sticking with you. I am ok with the leash and enjoy walks. Though I’m house trained, I don’t know yet how to tell you my needs, so you’ll have to ask me if it’s time, and then I’ll wag my tail and run to the door to say yes. I am a completely silent girl, so far. I don’t really have much to say, but you can see everything in my beautiful eyes.

I am completely crate trained and will quietly wait for you to come get me in the morning to go outside to do my business and stretch my legs. I’m ok in the crate during the workday, as well, especially when my foster Mom gives me chew-toys to keep me busy while she's working.

I love neck scratches, and b***y scratches, and the feeling of running and playing in the grass without a tether. It’s just so liberating and exhilarating! A real lover, my foster mom says, so affectionate and playful, love to give kisses!

I’m looking for my furever home, maybe one with another, friendly, medium to small dog who will cuddle with me. Can’t wait to meet you!!

💖Hi! Everyone you remember me it’s Skylar also know as Sadie. I am a lovely Wolfehound girl who is craving a home of my own!

I am a 2 year old, Wolfehound female. I weigh 57 lbs. My foster parents have been giving me so much love and affection and I’m doing great. I have come so far in a little over 3 weeks. I am doing amazing on the leash, and love going for walks. I really enjoy swimming in the pond or pool but I’m not fond of being hosed off afterwards, but I will tolerate it. I have been to the groomer and they said I did fantastic. I often go to work with foster mommy every weekday and I’m getting more comfortable riding in the car, but they said I’m kinda a drooler nerves I guess, but I will hop right up into the car! 🚗

At the dog park I did great! I was wanting to play with the other dogs so I’m great with doggies and not shy. I’m great with the neighbors kids. I can be shy but love to give kisses. My favorite activity is to be outside. She also LOVES to run. She doesn't know what it means when we throw the ball, but when our other dog runs for it, she is happy to chase her. She hops like a bunny sometimes too. It's adorable. She needs a fenced yard as she can escape out of an electric fence.
Everyone that has met her says she is just a beautiful soul. She is a gem. And she deserves a family that can give her the attention she deserves.

It’s me Wrenn Wrenn. I had my surgery on my leg and so far it’s been a huge success.

I got my stitches out a couple of days ago. Doctor said she is very impressed with my recovery.

Foster Momma took real good care of me. It was hard for me to sit still so momma sat with me while she did all her important work. It wasn’t easy lol she had papers all over the couch and she kept spilling her coffee.

Well, it’s been 18 days since my plate and pin was put in. Thank heavens my leg was saved.

Foster mamma bought me a beautiful ivory lace collar with a gorgeous big Carmel colored flower attached to it. . I’m not sure you can see it but it’s real pretty.

I have to go to physical therapy on 8/21.
Yikes I hope it doesn’t hurt. But I just remembered I’m Wrenn Wrenn the little tough warrior.so I’ll be just fine. After all my past life was a nightmare. I didn’t realize what a terrible life I had until I met my foster mom.

Well, physical therapy is quite expensive so I’m asking for some help with it. After all You guys and Almost Home paid for much of my surgery.

Foster momma said Dr McDonald- Lynch is an amazing surgeon who worked very hard to make me better and save my leg.
She sure did. Foster mom said she looked very young and pretty. Foster momma knew how extensive my surgery was going to be. After speaking with her she knew she was the one.

You see we met a few surgeons and Dr McDonald - Lynch impressed her the most. One surgeon wanted to remove my leg . Foster momma wasn’t going to have any of that so off to OVRS we went.

Well, I just took my meds and I’m getting kind of tired.

When will it be my time? 💔 Not one application has come in for sweet Cookie…How can this be?

Cookie has seen many dogs come in and go and she doesn’t understand why no one has showed interest in this beauty! She’s starting to feel depressed as much as she loves her foster mommy she wants a family of her own.

Meet our darling Cookie! She is 4 years old, spayed and weighs 22 lbs. Cookie is the cutest Carin Terrier mix. She has a loving personality and enjoys lounging or snuggling up to her person. She would do best as the only dog in the home or with a submissive dog as she is the princess in the home. She adores her foster mom so much and is doing well with house training . She came to us from an overcrowded shelter, and is now hoping to find a loving family with older kids to love and cherish her.

🙌🏻🙌🏻Almost Home wants to give a huge shout out and thank you to Kyler McCulloch, a Professional Dog Trainer, at “Nose, Eyes, Ears, Dog Training”, for his hard work, and dedication to board and house our rescue dogs!❤️

🐾Kyler stepped up, when we put out an urgent plea for help with Rusty, Savannah and Rudy when we needed new placement. We are beyond grateful that Kyler had no hesitation in taking him in and helping us out in a lurch. All the dogs are getting professional training and being boarded in a home environment.
