MC Supernova, also known as Nova, is a Welsh Vlaam cross mare with an exceptional temperament and a pretty appearance. This filly arrived at my yard 3 years ago as a 4 month old and wild As ever. Now as a 3 year old, I hope to get her in foal during the upcoming season. Deciding to use her as a broodmare is due to her outstanding character and beautiful movement. I am optimistic about a successful pregnancy, although her being a maiden leaves some uncertainty. Hoping for a good season and looking forward to our new arrival in January, from our beautiful girl Indie.

Fiona, our beautiful JD filly, is finally gaining weight and acclimating to the tropical climate, probably aided by the winter's lower levels of rain and humidity. Looking forward to watching her bloom 🌷🐴
This little filly is super special, and truly loves humans, she will come to you for hugs and cuddles as soon as she spots you. And will hang around even with no treats. I absolutely adore her.

Fiona's integration into our herd has been successful, as she joins our respected Matriarch mare, Legs (Winning stance/Argonaut our THB), Indie (Rancho Indian Feathers, our Saddler x), and young Dela (MC Delavenne our WB x). Dela is benefiting from the companionship of another young equine.
Initially, Fiona and Aspen, our two Appaloosas, faced numerous difficulties during their first three months, resulting in substantial weight loss and billary. However, we are now observing a change in recovery and healing. While the acclimatisation process is time consuming, we remain optimistic about their eventual return to peak health.
Within the next couple of weeks, we intend to introduce Nova, our Vlaam x Filly, to this herd, followed by the addition of Dawn, our Friesian filly, ultimately bringing all the girls together into a happy healthy herd. 🩷🐴

Mon Coeur “My Heart”
Growing up on a farm my passion for horses started at a really young age. I started riding at around the age of 5. At around 14 I rescued a thoroughbred mare from a neighboring farm, she had been a broodmare for many years and had been put to Percheron Stallions time and time again without much care given to her. That year she aborted mid way into her pregnancy and the farmer was going to have her put to sleep. I asked if I could have her, which he gladly agreed to. I lead her home and cleaned her up, she was in a sad sad state. From that day on she was given the royal treatment. 11 Months later I came home from school to a beautiful black c**t which she had during the night in the pastures. Big surprise to us!!
I named him Sambuca Blue and he became my entire world. That was my first experience owning a foal, and just the most rewarding and unforgettable time. 4 years later we had to sell our farm and my precious horses, one being a Paint and the best horse any young girl could dream of, Shadow Lane, a birthday present from my parents, bought from an Arab stud not too far. He was an Arab x quarter horse. Shadow went to a home in EL and I managed to keep track of him, he stayed with the same family, the Fischls for many years and last I heard he was used as an old hack for children on their farm and is still doing well, he is well into his 20’s now. As for Sam, I still think of him often and hope that he had a better life than his dam. The previous owners had sold him on later and I sadly lost track of him. He would also be well into his 20’s. I had always dreamed of one day having a Stud and hoped that ONE DAY I would get the chance to experience the joy of raising a foal again. I kept one horse at a livery farm In East London and continued to attend shows. Jumping and cross country has always been my passion. I don’t think there has been a time in my life, since the age of 5 (barring a year or 2 when living abroad. even then I found the nearest livery yard to visit),that I haven't had horses in my life. Fast forward 14 years, I married a Farmer and naturally bought my first broodmare from a Warm blood Stud in the Eastern Cape. Midas-Touch Jasmine, a breathtaking 17h grey mare, who was my foundation mare and in foal to an Exquisite imported Stallion, Eminem M. She produced an Amazing Grey filly who I named Emerald. She has had a further 2 fillies, and in the process I have acquired an additional 3 more broodmares, a bay thoroughbred mare from one of my Favorite Stallions, Argonaut by Western Winter. A bay boerperd mare by Lang-Carel Triomf, from Maltrap Stud and a cremello Pinto mare by Juistzoo Vodka a beautiful Saddlebred Stallion, I have also retained Jasmines last foal, a filly from the amazing Imported warm blood stallion Zospecial KWPN.
BREEDING GOALS
I strive to breed a Sports horse with a functional and preferably attractive conformation/appearance, correct movement and a good character.
Its important that the body is well proportioned and I aim for varying colours as long as it doesn't come before other traits. Good movement and temperament are important. I want my horses to be brave and somewhat reactive for increased responsiveness.
I have a clear goals as to what kind of horses I want to breed. I have bought mares according to this breeding goal and I use stallions that I think will supplement each mare as well as possible. I also only ever want to have a small number of broodmares, in order to give them the desired attention each one needs, so that each foal can get individual attention and handling. Each mare generally skips a breeding season after having a foal.
