I make this post in sadness and disbelief, and have finally come to grips with reality. As most of you know, back on May 31st, I had surgery on my spine. It's called a fusion, but there's a longer name to it. The surgery ended up being a horrible decision on my part, as the doctor cut nerves and subsequently, I'm not able to hold or lift a dog, let alone, give them a bath! I've had to make the tough decision to close my grooming salon. As some of you also know, Mike, my hubby of 44 years, has had a terrible bout with cancer, dementia, and finally a heart attack. With all of our health issues, our daughter, Melanie, came home 6 times for most all summer long just to "try" to help these two old folks through another day. Without her help, we wouldn't have been able to make it to today, which brings up my post. We've decided the best place to be is in Greensboro, North Carolina, where we have Melanie to help us get from point A to B.
I used to think that if a house went up for auction, it had been taken by the mortgage company and put up for auction by the Sheriff. Now, thanks to Susan Shain and Dave Brown, both being realtors for Berkshire Hathaway, PenFed Realty, they tell me that in situations like ours, where we have our health as the main reason we need to relocate, an auction is the way to go. No, we're not losing our house and haven't been foreclosed on... So please stop the hurtful rumors. We need to sell our home for health reasons, that's all. There's going to be an Open House this Sunday, the 15th of September, and then the LIVE AUCTION here at the house is the 21st of September. There's also a live auction on line. Here's the realtor's information sheet on it, including pictures. To find out more about it, feel free to give Susan a call or come see us at the Open House this Sunday!
