Update:3:45pm 11/23/21 thank you very much to the one person that donated! The dog now has a home, will be spayed and up dated on vaccinations!

Update:11am 11/22/21 We have $100 donated. This donation will go towards her vaccinations (dhpp-yearly, rabies and bordetella) as well as her spay surgery. We still need someone to set up to foster her to make all this happen. I will update with total vet costs.

It’s crazy but true! Even today, there are still people who mistakenly believe that black dogs are bad omens and harbingers of rotten luck. Update:the family now has a referral to head to Mississippi State. Our minimum goal is to raise $2000 for this pup in need. It is $1800 alone for a MRI scan, that is not including other needed costs. Shadow:
Says “what?” even though he heard you. Professional door greeter for Amazon Prime deliveries. It’s not much, but it’s honest work. Never the first one to break a handshake. Knows every lyric to Bohemian Rhapsody. Caught a squirrel once and attributes it to never skipping leg day. Thinks that “sharing is caring” should apply to your meal too.

“I got my manhood chopped offs. I got all the pokey thingz I needs. No worms in the ticker. I want to be someone’s doggie dammit!!”

Hey, guys! Meet Shadow! I’m a dog trainer and will personally train and drive this pup to you for free minus adoption cost. If you feel like he would be great for your rescue and would like to pull him, please reach out. Rescue or adopter, I don’t care where you live. I’ll do whatever it takes to get this dog to a home where he is LOVED and belongs.

Shadow was pulled from a rescue due to him being mouthy, jumpy and he would rush the kennel due to the amount of traffic was overwhelming(though I do feel like that is a normal reaction in a shelter setting.)

He has been at my home that way I could apply some structure to his life. He’s been with me for 53 days. I haven’t had any problems with him and I always have multiple dogs in my home. He’s a joy to be around and yes he can be jumpy and get overly excited BUT that is any dog who hasn’t been trained. I spend the time to train him until I have a family to commit to him because it has to be reinforced.

I can’t keep him forever and I’m honestly starting to lose hope. I don’t understand why no one wants to take a chance on him. It’s not fair for him the amount of time he has to spend in a kennel with me. Here is more information about Shadow.

I hope you woke up this morning feeling thankful💗🥰

We’re thankful trusted us to foster this sweet girl until she found her new home. Tears have been shed over how they were treated and the love they missed out on. Now thanks to amazing women like she’s going to a new home where she’ll be safe and never have to worry about getting the appropriate love she deserves.

Also, big thanks to Westside Veterinary Clinic for always being so kind to my rescue friends and not treating me like a crazy dog lady when I come in with all my rescues.❤️

PLEASE share!!

Hi, guys! My name is Riff. I was adopted as a young puppy and now I’m struggling with some prey drive and I’ve attacked a small dog in my home and the cat. Now, I’m looking for a new home. I’ve been through obedience school and I’m a very GOOD pup but, I would do best in a home with no small dogs/cats.

This week has been far from the best.
I’m tired.
Emotionally.
Physically.
Mentally.

My personal and rescue life hasn’t been the greatest this week. Most of it just floats away getting to end the week seeing this guy go to his new adopted home. Ending my week nose to nose with this guy with tears in my eyes, thankful he finally gets a chance at life. Max has been with me for 59 days.

Max is around a year old. What I know about his life started with his time at Jacksonville Animal Shelter. There at the shelter he was very food aggressive and was very snappy. Unfortunately dogs like Max are the first ones to be euthanized if the shelter grows to maximum capacity. The time came and the shelter grew to maximum capacity and his time was up. After being at the shelter for sometime the staff realized one on one Max definitely did better with his aggressive tendencies and a rescue decided to pull him and give him a chance. Max then went to a foster until it was time for him to go to the rescue and unfortunately the foster put him in a situation where Max decided that his best reaction would be to bite. So there he was back at square one him facing euthanasia again. That’s where I come in, I wanted to give him a fighting chance. Max definitely desperately needed some training and to be handled by someone who could give him structure. I’m proud to say 59 days later, he has found his forever home. I can’t thank this family enough for giving Max a chance. I’m ending my week thankful through it all.

We were able help get six three day old puppies to a  surrogate mom in Illinois! So far they’ve done well and took to her very well. This will give them a better chance of survival. We transported 17 dogs all together and as soon as we were back home there are already more dogs needing our help. I currently need three fosters for around 10 year old dogs. They’re kid and dog friendly.

I will also be taking donations for their vetting as well. Please let me know if you can help in any way.
