Here are the details of the symposium
DSANA is holding its first-ever virtual dairy Sheep Symposium on January 13 and 14, 2021, from noon to 4:30 EST on both days.
It is a Symposium for all dairy sheep producers and processors, large and small. We are focusing on dairy sheep on-farm issues on Wednesday the 13th, and sheep milk products on Thursday the 14th.
*Wednesday January 13th presentations: Mastitis in dairy sheep and its impact on production; On-farm mastitis culture for dairy sheep; Screening for Staph aureus in your dairy flock; Udder conformation in dairy ewes.
*Thursday January 14th presentations: The sheep-cheese-making tradition in Croatia; Marketing in a pandemic and the lessons learned; Dairy sheep farming in New Zealand and the powdered milk market.
The cost is $75 for both days, but here is the wonderful thing: it is free for all DSANA members. If you are a not a DSANA member, simply join DSANA to get full access to the Symposium (as well as access to our dairy sheep flock management forum, access to our past symposium proceedings, access to our library of technical information, and your farm name listed on our DSANA dairy sheep directory if you wish).
More information about the virtual symposium can be found at https://www.dsana.org/2021-virtual-symposium
p.s. this is a picture of Staph aureus, lovely in a colored slide, not so lovely in your dairy ewe!
