China now has faecal incontinence, and after much discussion with my children and vet through tears, we have agreed that it would be kind to China to have her put to sleep. There is no guarantee of any results from an endoscopy, but there is the added stress on her heart from anaesthetic as well as potentially any steroids. I've tried for 3 years to get China good, and I really don't make this decision lightly. She has no quality of life, and we have no quality of enjoyment with her, I hope you can respect this difficult decision.
Any money donated through the just giving page can either be refunded or, with permission, used to have her cremated and brought home to us 🐾 💔

So I spoke to the vet last night after chasing them yet again! And typical, after saying how China is reasonably stable and the best she's been in a while, I wake up this morning to sh*t everywhere 😔

Was supposed to receive a call 1 week ago today from a surgeon who made me aware of the camera that can be swallowed. It is proposed to do this so we have 360degree imagery of China's insides then, carry out the endoscopy so samples can be taken.. I called today to chase it up, "you are on the list", on the list?.... a day or two maybe but a whole week?..... not impressed!

Blood test tomorrow for chi chi, see where her b12 levels are at. I can't figure out how her stool is fine to pick up but, she still sharts 🤔

So China had her last b12 injection Wednesday, she is booked for blood test next week to re check her levels. But since Thursday, she has been having little "presents" just seemingly fall out of her butt 😔 she is still having pumpkin, so disappointing. At least I can pick these up easy rather than loose stool that requires everything to be washed but still 😭

Last B12 injection for China today, after that, its waiting for the endoscopy. She is currently having good stools, though there was a bit of leakage last night 🤔

So I stopped the pumpkin for almost 2 days and her stool started to get softer. She's now having pumpkin again. Hopefully keep things stable until enough funds are raised for the endoscopy

We've not had any leakage still, fingers crossed this continues until we can get the endoscopy done and results back.
Her poor backside can have a rest from constant washing and heal for a while at least. Whilst this is great news, our journey is not over yet as we still enough funds to have the endoscopy done 🙏🏼

So I have just collected China from the vets, ultrasound was all clear which is great, no signs of cancer, obstruction in bowel, intestine etc all look ok.
Whilst she is on metrobactin, b12 injections, fortiflora supplement as well pumpkin, and considering the financial implications, the vet has suggested we continue with what we are currently doing and retest her b12 levels. She does not want the antibiotics to stop before her b12 levels are stable... we will then look to do the endoscopy to collect biopsies to determine what causing the IBD (which is what we are suspecting is the issue) and go from there.
Thank you for your continued support, our journey is far from over but, looking hopeful. And China is much more happier the last couple of days. I will of course keep this page updated with all the updates good and bad.

This is China aka chi chi. China came to me aged 2 from rescue. She is now 5years old, and from day 1 has suffered with severe diarrhea. I have been back forth vets and to dick whites in Newmarket for poo testing, blood testing, ultrasound, xrays, endoscopies, diet changing, antibiotics, steroids and various supplements, and yet she has now had diarrhea since November 2022. Every day she leaks and I'm having to clean her rear end around 5 times a day, and wash multiple bedding twice a day.
China now requires a further ultrasound and endoscopy which will cost £1600 plus medication on going. I cannot begin to imagine the discomfort she must be in, not to mention the shame. She has developed dermatitis from repeated washing plus sores which are at risk of getting infected. This is also having a negative affect on my mental health I am full time working single mum of three children under the age of 11 and this is a really stressful and soul destroying situation to try and manage.
China also has a grade 4 heart murmur which was first discovered around 6months after she came and was barely detectable. She is such an amazing dog, extremely sociable with other dogs, so loving with the kids, she adores cuddles but sadly these don't happen very often due to leaking backside, and I'm just not ready to give up on her.

I'm not one to ask for help, she is insured but I am reaching my limit. So I am this point where I am begging for your kindness during this difficult financial time we are all experiencing, and seeking any donations you may be able to make towards the cost of her investigations.

I did consider a go fund me page but, the amount they deduct from donations can be crucial to the charges of the investigations so have opted for a page instead.
