I am absolutely delighted to announce that Smarties has found his forever best friend 🥰 If that isn’t a look of true love right there, I don’t know what is!
Smarties will be named “Shiro”- some of the translations from this Japanese word include “white” and “samurai” dependent on context. I think these are lovely connotations for this handsome little hero 🥰

These 5 little stars all received a 5 star review on their first vet check today! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The vet (who is a ragdoll slave herself) was very impressed and said the kittens are in great condition, lovely little personalities and absolutely stunning 🥰 she was absolutely smitten with them.
They all got their first vaccination, wormer and microchip today and are going to be receiving visitors from some very lucky potential families over the next couple of weeks.

The kittens are growing fast and running around like maniacs playing- meanwhile I’m standing among them trying to draw 😂 It’s a wonder I get anything done!

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year to all my teacher friends and followers 🥂🎉🍻
Got this little face slowly emerging from the pastelmat at the moment! As many of my long-term followers know- I love drawing “plain” black and white animals as there’s so many subtle colours that are hard to spot to the untrained eye!
Did you know that black cats often take the longest to re-home in shelters due to the fact they aren’t “photo friendly” ? Well, I must contest that- hopefully my drawing will reflect that in the right lighting- they can be just as stunning (probably more stunning, let’s be honest) as any other cat 🥰
Besides- who the heck wouldn’t want a tiny panther living in their house?!?!

When you let the “big” babies out to roam the rest of the house for the first time. They had an absolute blast and are now completely out for the count.

Bit of a late night post here but I wanted you to share our celebrations! 🥳
Tonight’s man of the match goes to Smarties! He is FINALLY on solid food!!!
I sat tonight for over an hour convincing him (and oh my goodness did he take some convincing) to eat one baby biscuit at a time off my finger.
After probably the slowest half an hour I’ve ever experienced- he stopped spitting them back out and realised I wasn’t trying to poison him after all, so he started taking them off my finger willingly, then off my palm, then off a spoon, and finally- off the plate!
That wee face just says: “I can’t believe what I’ve been missing all this time!”
The little dude will sleep well tonight. I get the impression he is grateful too, as he has been stuck to me like glue since 🥰

A wee delayed update for you on Coco’s beautiful babies. She had 3 healthy little bundles last Friday- I’ll have been feeding well and putting on great weight.
Their temporary names (genders AND colours) are:
Parsnip- boy - (blue collar) blue mitted
Sprout- boy - (green collar) blue pointed
Sweetpea- girl (yellow collar) blue mitted

4 out of 5 babies on solid foods now 🥰 Just little Smarties who is being very stubborn at the moment and still prefers the milkbar only- hopefully we can convince him otherwise sometime over the next week or so!
There’s always some sort of little story with my cats and labour. This time- I was in the bath. I deliberately left the door opens crack, *just* in case Coco decided it was time.
Just as well I did! While I was chilling on the bath pondering life’s little mysteries, Coco came charging in, not meowing- but YELLING at me.
“Get out the bath! It’s time! Hurry up! NOOOOW!” Is basically what her frantic yells seemed to be telling me. So I jumped out threw some clothes on and through we went. She decided again that the best place for it was on the sofa next to the pen.
Many cats will scuttle off and hide to have their babies… not mine! I feel like this wee photo sums up the close bond we have and the reassurance ragdolls often seek from their favourite humans in stressful times 🥰 she was still in the middle of labour at this point.
Mum and babies are still doing well- will update… sometime 🤭
Little update on Coco 🥰
She had her kittens yesterday and mum and babies seem to be doing well. The next few days- as I’ve said with previous litters- are incredibly delicate, so I won’t be making any other announcements on their progress over the next week or so, but please do keep an eye out for when they do come 😍
In the meantime, here is a picture of Coco this morning- basking in the sun and enjoying a short break from mummy-duties ☀️😎
We have now moved from caternity suite to nursery mode- featuring Bonbon the great adventurer 🥰 Twice she did a log roll off that cushion and TWICE I missed catching it on camera 🤦♀️
Also… Big sister Blueberry is a nervous wreck- constantly trying to lure them back into the safety of the pen or nesting box! Meanwhile mum, Sylvie, watches on with a “well if they get hurt-they’ll learn from it” attitude.
Coco is doing very well at the moment and is looking aptly round. She should be due within the next week or so. As before I won’t update straight away as I will want to monitor them privately to make sure all is well ❤️
Well! We have our first solid- muncher! It was an unexpected surprise the other day when they were out for a leg stretch and little Rolo made a beeline for Sylvie’s biscuits!
I scooped him up and made some softened biscuits with baby kitten milk and the wee dude got stuck right in! He is the youngest we have had to go into solids and he is the most energetic little guy due to it! Absolutely piling on the weight and will no doubt be dwarfing his siblings soon! 🐽 😊

Getting into awkward spots… not entirely effectively 🤦♀️
Because the kitten’s eyes are open and they are starting to drunkenly toddle about- I decided to move them from the nesting box into the big pen… or the “circus tent” as my other half likes to call it 😂 Certainly will be a circus in a couple of weeks- that’s for sure! 🤪
Moving them into the bigger pen at this stage has a few advantages:
1. Sylvie can stretch out much more- happy and healthy mum means happy and healthy babies (as you can see from the photo!)
2. It gives the babies more room to get their “land legs” and build up those little muscles by having more space to move about the pen.
3. It’s brighter and the colours are great for their eyesight! Their eyes are open now and their sight will develop a lot in the next few weeks. It should be finished developing by around 5-6 weeks old. Cats are mostly colourblind but research has shown that they can see yellow and blue quite clearly- so the spots in the pen are perfect to help them see clearer. 🥰
Well I think it’s about time for introductions 🥰
This year’s little floofy recruits are now just over 2 weeks old and are doing very well, reaching all their milestones so far!
So, I won’t leave you in anticipation any longer. Sylvie’s litter have their temporary names and this year, we have gone with a sweetie theme! 🍬🍭

Her Royal Highness Queen Coco looking rather majestic this morning 😍 This photo doesn’t do justice to how round she actually is right now!
We are so excited to welcome her babies in around 2 weeks time. Her baby-daddy is the same this year- so we are expecting some absolutely stunning and playful babies again. I wonder how many are in there… 🤔 anyone want to take a guess?
Little 2 week old update for you all 🥰
The babies are doing really well just now and getting stronger by the day! Eyes are nearly all open and we are taking some very wobbly steps about the pen.
I believe we have 3 boys and 2 girls. It’s looking like we also have 2 bicolour and 3 pointed- probably all tabby. Colour is a little more challenging than markings at this point… but I have a few hunches- stay tuned for that update.
Can’t wait to share their temporary names with you all this weekend! Their names-in my opinion- are pretty sweet 🍬😉
Okaaaaaay okaaaaay, you’ve all been very patient!
Sylvie gave birth to 5 healthy bouncy babies on Wednesday the 24th April between the very respectable times of 4:04 and 5:55pm. She was an absolute trooper and after the first baby came out (which was an ouchie) she gave birth to the others like it ain’t no thang.
She hasn’t had Coco to coach her this time however, she has taken the bull by the horns and done an absolutely stellar job with them. They are growing like very cute and fluffy little weeds and have reached all their milestones so far!
Little red is the first to start taking a peek at the world. It’s little eyes are starting to open and it has discovered the sheer joy of a tummy rub- flipping over onto its back to allow me access to the tiny little tumtum 🥰
I have some temporary names lined up but I won’t be sharing those till a little later when I am more confident of their genders 🤫
In the meantime- enjoy these adorable squeaky videos.
This wee beaut has finally shed her winter coat and is looking lovely and sleek. She is starting to put on a little weight and is starting to look like the buns are in the oven 🥰 Her babies are entering the rapid growth stage so hopefully there are a few babies in there and we will see some bigger changes in the coming weeks 😊

Just a quick little announcement to say that our wonderful Sylvie had her beautiful kittens on Wednesday afternoon- at very respectable times of between 4pm and 6pm. 🎉
They are all doing very well at the moment and Sylvie is very attentive and doting. I won’t announce numbers for another week or so as I am a little superstitious and don’t want to jinx anything at this delicate stage.
In the mean time- here is a picture of Blueberry who has taken to making little tents out of cushions on the sofa recently 🤪🥰
