Happy Gotchaday my sweet girl Helga!
🎈🎈For 5 years Helga and Floki moved into their forever home as ducklings. Unfortunately our beloved Floki passed away last December, but he will always be in our hearts. Helga luckily found a new partner with Björn. Now she is sitting on the nest for almost three weeks and we can't wait until the ducklings hatch. 🐣🐣

Yesterday was just a fun day. As some of you have already seen my sister and I met in person! We only know each other from Instagram and followed each other for several years. We are both living in Germany, but about 700 kilometres apart. But my family lives very close to Moniques’ house. I planned to stay a few days at my parents’ house and asked Monique for a meeting. She immediately agreed and so we met yesterday for the first time in person. It was such a pleasure to see Monique and her animals face-to-face. All of her animals are so sweet and friendly although they didn’t know us. And Monique is such a welcoming person. This is the beautiful and positive side of Instagram, which I never expected when I started my account a few years again.

This morning we hit 4,000 followers. Honestly, we still cannot realize it. We set up this account three years ago in order to share photos of our ducks. We’ve learned so much from sharing our experiences and hearing about yours. Thank you to every single person that follows our little account. We really do appreciate it❤️. Especially in these times, we hope to bring a smile on your face with photos of our feathered friends.

For our new followers: We are Katja and Steffen and we live in a little farmhouse in Mecklenburg, Germany close to the Baltic Sea. Our hobbies are keeping fowl and planting veggies.
