Foster Needed for Lucy.
I’ve been working with Roy and Lucy for almost a year. I’ve always known Roy to walk bent at the hip. He is physically unable to stand up straight due to his severe disc hemorrhages. He is very off-balance and always, always in pain. Lucy is a big girl with little to no leash training. She’s hard for me to manage sometimes and I honestly don’t know how he does it.
I can imagine that walking her makes his condition worse, and there’s absolutely no way he can do it while recovering from spinal fusions. Roy is initially looking for a temp foster (few months at least), but I know he would CONSIDER permanent placement if it became available. He just wants Lucy to have the best life. She is very sweet and very smart, but she does lack basic manners. She would need someone familiar with her breed to give her proper training. She is spayed and vaccinated, and I would provide all of her food and supplies needed for a foster situation. Please reach out if you have any questions or can take this pretty girl in.
Who else gets a welcome home like this?? ♥️♥️
(Pay no attention to the dirty porch. It’s a work in progress. 😉)
Litter of 3 found in the woods.
For the pups that live outside.
Irvine Duck
One of the sites were I work….
This place in Irvine is home to several feral cats. Ppl come here quite often to feed the cats, and this duck. Rumor has it, this duck has been here by the river for a few years now. It is said that it was once someone’s pet and it was dumped by the water. The duck now lives with the cats and happily helps itself to the cat food that is provided by locals. 🫶🏼♥️🦆
Chewy
This is Chewy. Chewy is a purebred cutie patootie that has diligently been working on training his dad. In this video you’ll watch as Chewy brings a stick for his dad to throw, and dad does it….. Right on command! Chewy says that dad is still working on his fetch technique but he’s confident he’ll have that mastered soon. 🧔🏻♂️🐶
Don and Zoe
Don and Zoe have been living outside in downtown Madison County for the last 4 months. Don used to have a home and a family that he provided for, but in the last 2 years he has lost 4 ppl close to him, 2 of them being his wife and step daughter. This has been Don’s first experience being unhoused, and I believe it is a real eye opener for him. But through it all, HE KEPT HIS DOG.
Zoe is about 2 years old and has some health problems. She has some pretty serious dental issues that we can’t seem to address due to cost. She is a good and quiet girl… until she can’t see her dad. Lol. Don will sometimes leave her with me or someone else to go to the store and I’ve never heard a dog cry like she does when he walks away. They are truly bonded.
Don recently got a van with some tax money. This is huge for him and Zoe. This means transportation AND shelter. Don is so humble and appreciative of the help he’s received recently. I just know that this is the first of many great things that will happen for them both.
They’re known around here as “The Devil Dogs”. 😈
But they’re my little Angels. 😇
Sassy Grace
People ask me all the time, “Why do ppl without houses have pets?”
I’ll be talking to some of our neighbors that live outside and have pets in the next few months, and sharing those conversations on this page.
They can better answer that question than me. ♥️
Treat time is the best time. 💯
Delilah
Update on Delilah! An angel stepped up for this pup and her owner at the last minute, and agreed to take her in for a few days while the owner is in detox. This could have been a lifesaving decision, so thank you Alexis! I took Delilah some food and toys this evening, and I think we can all agree that she’s just the cutest thing ever! Look at those ears! 😂
If you’re interested in fostering, msg me or Laura to get the process started! 😁

Lil Momma. 🐶
A short video of some of the shenanigans that JJ and I get to experience as fosters. 🤪
This is Lil Momma. Her owner is in inpatient treatment for SUD, so Lil Momma is hanging out with us until she can be with her own momma again. 🩶
We have several people on our wait list right now. We are working with limited space, so we’re looking for volunteers… (people that like shenanigans, and snuggles!) 🧸
Our program will cover all expenses, vetting, supplies, food, etc…. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. If you think fostering is right for you, please msg me or Laura Helvey to ask how to get started. 🐶
The Recovery puppies are 4 weeks old!! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
Right now there are 9 dogs in our Foster For Recovery Program, and 5 of those are pups. Hope, ARC, Spero, Ethan, and Isaiah will be ready for their new homes in just a few short weeks! Hope, the only girl, is spoken for…. But the boys are still looking for their forever families. If you want to apply for one of our Recovery Puppies, msg me or Laura Helvey. These little guys are so freakin cute!! 💙
Also, there are so many ways that you can help with our Foster For Recovery program. If you want to know how, just msg us! It takes a village, and we love ours! 🫶🏼
We met a new good boy this weekend! This is Diesel. Diesel’s parents are truckers, so he lives a life on the road. He’s had many adventures, and has probably seen more of the world in his first few months, than I will in a lifetime. However, because of the envious life he leads, he doesn’t get much socialization, so he’s coming to Morris Run for that!
This weekend was the first time Diesel has been around other dogs. He’s cautious, rightfully so, but still very brave. While he’s with us, we’ll be working on desensitizing and confidence building. And he’ll be getting plenty of treats and head scratches. 🐶
