My name is Crista and I’m the owner/groomer of Gold Coast Dog Grooming house call grooming. I’m pet cpr/first aid certified and fear free certified with 5+ years of experience. I specialize in small dogs 20 lbs. and under.

About house call grooming:
House call grooming offers you and your pet the luxury of one on one grooming in the comfort of your home, IN your home (weather permitting I can also utilize the garage or an outdoor space with shade).
I bring all the supplies I’ll need for bathing, drying, and grooming your dog. All I need is a calm, quiet area for grooming, a place to bathe, and power. All of this is done in the comfort of your own home where your small dog is getting my undivided attention while being groomed.

About Fear Free grooming:
As a Fear Free certified groomer I am committed to making your pet’s spa day fun and relaxing. It is so common that pets won’t love every part of the groom as there are aspects of grooming that are not always pleasant. The goal for this process is to help your pet feel as calm and comfortable as possible. This is achieved through combining positive reinforcement training with the grooming process.
I will work closely with YOU and your pet to accomplish a Fear Free groom. I value humanity over vanity above all else. The average pet visits the groomer every 1 to 3 months for nail trims, baths, and/or a full haircut. That means your pet will spend a good portion of their life at the grooming salon. Some pets go years experiencing intense fear and anxiety related to grooming. Science tells us that repeated exposure to stress causes a plethora of health issues for pets and humans.
With Fear Free grooming, I will not ignore your pet’s fear response in the name of getting the job done. Through years of experience as a groomer and this certification I have been trained to always use a gentle touch, never causing pain or using intimidation.
