Hi all! I recently had a baby and will be taking time off until further notice, truthfully I’m not sure if I’ll be able to return to hoof trimming for quite awhile. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have for you and your furry friends! I miss trimming deeply but for now I am in my child rearing season and hope to return one day! Thank you all for being amazing clients and supporters!

Goodbye for now 🫶

Had a good time getting this lady back to her norm. Happy to report besides excessive length her hooves were very healthy! No pockets or infection is always a good sight! Her herd mates also had great feet a few pockets but those were easily taken care of! Until next time! 🐐

🚨 I will be moving back down to Snohomish county by this new year! Most of my clients are down there and it will make travel and scheduling so much easier! 🚨

🐐 Wanted to make a post about how far and what cities/towns I will go to for hoof/nail trimming as well as general location.

🏔️ I’m based in Washington State; more specifically the west side of the state.
I can travel from Blaine, WA and Lynden, WA all the way down to Everett, WA. Getting to most towns and cities in-between.

🌲 I’m unable to visit Oak Harbor, WA and the surrounding small islands as well as Lummi Island and Anacortes, WA. This is until further notice as I’d eventually like to incorporate those areas if there is demand for it.

💰 I raised my prices on hoof trimming due to inflation and my recent move. This raise in price will cover gas and supplies for me.

$20 per goat or sheep
$10 per rabbit or small furries (rats, Guinea pigs, cats and chickens)
$20 per dog

👩‍🌾 I DO NOT trim horses or mini horses, donkeys, pigs, or cows

Hello Hello! I’m slowly accepting and making appointments for hoof/nail trims again! So far the rest of June is mostly taken up I’ve contacted a few clients already to make appointments for those times. July is fully open except for the 31st. I’m going to try to group together certain clients based off location and amount of animals needing trimmed. Please be patient as I make appointments; sometimes I will have to juggle and swap days and times to fit everyone’s schedule so I don’t have to make a lot of trips from Bellingham down south. My goal is to make this cost and fuel effective as well as create less wear and tear on my vehicle.

I’m so excited to be back though can’t wait to see y’all out there! Please message me if I haven’t messaged you yet so I can get you and your furry friends on a schedule again!

Hello lovely people! I feel this post is needed since I’ve been getting new clients and old clients inquiring about my services. I’m still on a break but hoping to return within the next few months. I’ve had some major life changes and took time to adjust to those so when I come back I have a clear head to help you, help your goats and other furry friends!

As of right now I’m waiting for my truck to finish getting work done so it can once again be my trusty commute vehicle. I also just had a big move out to beautiful Bellingham, WA. My boyfriend and I have been busy unpacking and settling into our new home. I will still offer services in Stanwood, Camano, Marysville, Arlington and the surrounding areas but will be charging travel fees to cover gas costs. Your time, patience, and support is appreciated always!

Hope to see you and your pets very soon!

Hey there,
I've been MIA. I'm sorry for that. I know new and old clients have been messaging me for hoof trims. I've been going through actually quite a lot lately and don't have the mental strength to continue with this hoof trimming thing as of now. Rather than continue down the path of avoidance and radio silence on my end I wanted to be as clear as I can with what’s going on and why I’m not active on here or with you all about hoof trims. I love doing it and want to say this is temporary but right now I’m unsure if l'll pick it up again.

I want to direct my clients old and new to Nannery's Hoof Care. They are another great hoof trimmer in the PNW area and will take amazing care of your pets!

Thank you all for being a part of my side quest journey, I appreciate it 🫶 much love!

Everyone meet Jerry! A new client and probably the tallest goat in the world! 😱 He is a Saanen goat and was rescued recently. When hooves get this long it causes tendons and ligaments to sit a way that’s unnatural causing pain while a goat does goat stuff. It can also be painful for them after a trim is done because ligaments and tendons need to stretch back the way they are meant to.

My buddy here was in a lot of pain and getting stressed while I trimmed up his hooves; so today wasn’t about making them pretty just cutting off excessive hoof so he can walk better. Next week I’ll be going back to finish the job then he’ll be put on a monthly hoof trim schedule.

I had to show him off to everyone because he is the size of a small pony with hooves to match! I’m 4’11” for reference and my hands are also very small. I literally cannot get over his size and just admiring how oddly huge he is! Definitely one of a kind! 😍

Before and after of a corrective trim on a doe. Today wasn’t about making them pretty, like other corrective trims the goal is to take off as much as possible without cutting the quick. In 3 weeks I’ll be out to trim her hooves again. Between now and then her quick line (blood vein) will of receded further into the hoof from her walking on it allowing me to cut off more hoof so she can have her natural gait back. Doing so will prevent permanent laminitis, pain, and infection to the goat 🥰

Went to our Evergreen State Fair I couldn’t just walk past the goat barn 😁 she wanted my nails not the lip burbling 💁‍♀️
*side note the waddles, eyeliner and black ear spots stole my heart ❤️

A client of mine is moving and needing to rehome their 3 goats.

~Jack is a black and white wether aged 5 years and has those cute wattles. He’s a very sweet and personable guy. Jack is alpine or has alpine in him as he’s a big guy with big upright ears.

~Kiki is a predominately brown Nubian aged 5 yrs. She is more skittish but when caught stands wonderfully to have her hooves trimmed. Overall a sweet girl.

~Momma is a reddish brown and white Nubian doe. She’s sweet and loves her treats. Her age is unknown but her kid (Kiki) is 5 yrs old.

All 3 stand well for hoof trimming and are sweet to work with. These goats are for pet homes only not for food. I believe the owners also want them to go together. If interested pm me and I will give you the owners contact information. Located in Snohomish county WA

A rough trim job today, I need to wait for the quick lines to recede more up in the hoof. Will be returning in a month to clean up the hooves more, was shocked at how fast they had grown since the last trim. Every goat is different 🤷‍♀️ depends on genes, environment, age, activity level, nutrition etc.

Anyone remember my guy Sid from about a month ago? Went back for another correction trim today was surprised to see how fast his hooves have grown! I cut a lot more hoof off with this session. His front hooves came out beautifully, barely can even tell his hooves were ever overgrown. A couple more trims will need to be done on him to get him back to normal shaped hooves. He was on his knees for quite awhile so he hasn’t relearned how to shift his weight to the back hooves so their blood line can recede, so I can trim more. It’s a slow process but he can comfortably walk on all 4 hooves now 😁, and according to his owners has quite the sassy personality from being more mobile haha see ya next time Sid!

Meet Charlie! A very good boy who had a gnarly scur (botched dehorn) growing up into his eyelid! We were worried about the possibility there could be a blood vein but had a cauterizing tool and bandages on standby. Thankfully there was no blood vein! We flushed his eye with saline solution and I did his hooves after we dehorned him. I directed the owners to buy some raw goat milk from a nearby dairy to put in his eye to help heal it faster or colloidal silver. A couple drops 2x a day and his eye will be as good as new! Only thing to watch for would be flies or maggots since the weather is warming up but I think that won’t be an issue. We opted to keep his other horn on since it’s not causing any issues yet and as protection for himself.

Who wants to see the dehorning video? Say I 🙋‍♀️

Happy to report this ladies hoof is healing up nicely. Shes the doe from 5 days ago whose hoof was cut too short. She’s able to walk without a limp. She’s feeling more spunky! I gave her one more bo**ie with some salve and instructed the owner to take it off in 3 days. She had a lot to say about it! 🐐🎉

I got a call this morning of a doe whose hoof was trimmed too short and she was bleeding out. Not as bad as I expected. I instructed the owner to apply cornstarch to a rag and tape it onto the hoof until I can get there to assess it better. I cleaned and sanitized the area with iodine. Trimmed up the hoof a bit. Applied a paste of cayenne pepper, honey, and hoof salve. Then wrapped in gauze, put a clean rag on the hoof and wrapped it in duct tape to keep it dry. I trimmed the remaining hooves, had her put her in a smaller pen and I’ll be seeing this sweet girl in 3 days to remove the bo**ie and assess the hoof to see how it’s healing and if need be, apply another bo**ie and the homemade paste again. The most we have to worry about is infection but I think she’ll be back to her normal self in a week. 😊🐐

🚨A PSA to everyone🚨

my favorite goats to trim are these kind! I will not put you down and make you feel like scum for letting it get like this. I will celebrate with you seeing the goat happy and be able to walk again. I will thank you like the goat thanks you for calling me up and having me come trim them. I do not charge extra for trims like this, I feel it would discourage people from seeking the help the animal needs as well as the mental health of the owner (guilt, sadness, embarrassment) Does it take me longer? Yeah. Can it be a pain when the goat fights you cause it just wants to lay down and be done? Yeah. Lol but all that makes it worth being able to see the confusion and happiness from the goat afterwards when it realizes it can walk normal again. Lesson here to all is we should not belittle and bully owners whose animals have hooves like this, you don’t know why or how it got like this. Instead encourage them to seek a veterinarian or a hoof trimmer to take care of the problem. My buddy here will be seeing me in 1 month for more corrective trimming done, for now I’m waiting on him to use his hooves enough to put pressure on the quick lines so they recede back up into the hoof more so I can trim more off. He’ll have good working feet to prance around his field in no time!

Till next time my friends! 🌻🐐
