Throwing it Back to Halloween! 🎃🎃🎃

Is it only February? Yes. Am I looking forward to spooky season? Also Yes. This Thursday, we're throwing it back to our Halloween collection from 2020. 👻

I may have gone a bit overboard when it came to ordering some Spooktacular fabric, so there are still quite a few of these available if you're wanting to get a "jump" on your October accessories.

A particular favourite of mine has to be "The Hallowed Jester" as shown in the photo below the Ghastly Ghouls bandana. The Hallowed Jester is a simple checkered design of orange, yellow, and black which can be used casually when Spookiness is not required. 🧡

We are certainly open to custom orders, especially with new designs that have just come in (because there's usually more of the fabric to cater for requests). Of course, it is dependent on the stock available but we will try our hardest to accommodate your requests. All you have to do is add your special requests in the "notes" section on checkout! 💛

❓️𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙖?

The LS bandana was a custom creation originally thought up by .and.co and put into play by . The idea behind this bandana was so that it would fit those small sized necks, but be long enough for dogs who weren’t quite tiny in stature.

The LS fits up to a 35-36 cm neck but it is longer than the average small; think of it somewhere between a medium and a small in length. An example of the long small can be seen on this photo provided by .and.co .

I figured we would add this as an option to our product range and premades as I am certain there are other small neck dogs out there who need a slightly longer bandana in their lives but have smol necks. So, it is here to stay! 🥰

Since we no longer have a website up and running, you can find the prices for the different bandana sizes (and scrunchies) here. As mentioned before, we are able to still do custom sizing within the “custom order” window or if there is enough material remaining to cater for your custom request. If you’re unsure about whether or not we can complete a request for you, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact us on one of our social media platforms. 🥰

All you have to do to order is simply swing through a DM with your request and we’ll see what we have in stock. I’m hoping to get a basic website up and going again soon just to house stock levels, but that’s definitely a future goal.

After a bit of a hiatus due to everyday life business, I’ve decided to go ahead and re-open DoberCollie Crew for business! However, I’m planning on doing things a bit differently this time as I got a bit overwhelmed towards the end with all the sewing. 👀

I’ve been busy whipping up pre-made bandanas to put in as “stock” for sale; these pre-made bandanas come equipped with a range of different thread colours already picked out and suited for the fabric, so you will still be able to choose if it is in stock. 😁

I have also added another size option for dogs that can’t quite fit into small, and don’t quite make it to medium. This will be our Small/Medium size and will fit up to a 40 cm collar size.

𝓒𝓾𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓶 𝓞𝓻𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓼:

Those of you still wanting custom sizes/colour threads will be given an opportunity to grab your custom bandanas before I start hacking away at the material for Pre-Mades. Whenever I get new material/designs in, I will put up on my story and feed that customs are now open. This will remain open for a few days (a week at most), where you will be able to let me know exactly what you want! ❤️

After this time frame, it cannot be guaranteed that there will be enough material left for custom orders; but you never know, sometimes it is worth asking.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be sewing up batches of pre-made bandanas and scrunchies using the existing fabric I have in stock. This is the last attempt at getting rid of the current supply of material I have sitting in my boxes waiting for a better day. 😅

If you would like any specific sizes or custom bandanas/scrunchies made at this time, I would recommend reaching out because once I start getting stuck into the material, there will be no guarantee that certain sizes will be available! 😬

Tonatiuh is an extremely busy pattern with bursts of fun, vibrant colours - therefore, my preferred top stitch colour for this bandana is a nice subtle black stitch.🖤 This blends in with the bold black outline against the colours, and doesn’t add any unnecessary chaos to an already busy bandana; however, that doesn’t mean that you can’t make two Tonatiuh bandanas slightly different from one another!

What I did to make the bandanas slightly different for the two-doggo family was change the colour of their label top stitch to represent “his and hers”. 💙💞Sometimes that’s all you need to really make the bandana stand out!

PINKS AND PURPLES💕💜

It’s feeling a bit like a pink and purple sort of day with all these Allure💕 and Mirabelle💜 orders ready for dispatch once we hit Level 3 in good old Auckland! It’s the first time that I’ve decided to just sew up all the “same pattern/colour” materials as I usually just go either in order, or on a completely random tangent! 😅

I also couldn’t help sewing up a Mirabelle for Nadira! What can I say, I’m a sucker for floral prints, let alone pink and purple floral prints. As it stands, we only have 1 Mirabelle left in either a medium or small. 😬
Allure is completely sold out with only 1 scrunchie available. 🥺💕

ODE OF REMEMBRANCE

This has to be one of our most timeless, beautiful designs with stark contrasts of bright colour against the black background, and one of my personal favourites to sew up. It always looks good and pretty much looks fantastic on all dogs. 😍❤

At the moment, we have enough material to sew up almost any size ranging from Large to Extra Small, and some matching hair scrunchies on the side, because why wouldn’t you want to match? 🤪

So, what happens?

Always finding material that I bought because I liked it and wanted to sew something up for . 🙈🙊❤ This gorgeous plum and flower pattern was just one of those forgotten items: originally, this was going to be released with our next lot of bandanas, however, as we decided to go ahead with our “phase out” plan, it never quite made it that far. Instead, I decided it would make a very lovely birthday present for our good friend: Nala Dane] because dayum these colours are perfect for the girl! 💕👌

You may notice that it looks slightly similar to the “Allure” bandana and, well, that’s because it is! I couldn’t decide which I liked better - the pinkier tones of Allure or the more mystical dark purples of this design - so why not get both? 🤣

So, without further delay, let me introduce you to “Mirabelle”🫐🌸. I have yet to sew up a “stock photo” bandana for this pattern, but if you are keen on one of them, please let me know via DM! I initially only bought 1 m of this fabric to trial so the numbers will be extremely limited, and I might just have to make one for my own lil’ Queen too! 😬

Here’s a bit of a bandana spotlight modelled by the heart-stopper😍: . This stylish Corgi is rocking the Unbridled Fury, which I feel is one of our more underrated bandana patterns - and I’m not sure why!😅 I even kept one of these for our personal bandana collection - I think what draws me into it is, not only is it a fearsome camo print, but it’s slightly different in that the primary colours aren’t typically what you would expect when looking at “Camo Prints”. 🔥

Instead of the army green, we have a strong vibrant maroon colour complemented perfectly with a light tan/beige colour and an ivory (it looks white but isn’t quite white white). Maybe I’m just borderline obsessed with maroon, but to me, this bandana print checks all the boxes and is reasonably on the more gender neutral side (if you’re worried about these things). 🤷🏻‍♀️

I still have quite a bit of material left for Unbridled Fury, and a few scrunchies too, so let me know if you’re interested! A little reminder that once the material reserves run dry, we will not be restocking as part of our “phase out”! Our closure date hasn’t been set yet, and is reliant on how much material is left in our boxes!😬😬😬

I have been so humbled lately by all the lovely and supportive comments that have come from some of our customers; it almost makes me want to keep DCC alive😭❤ (but I know deep down I’d never be able to keep up and 100% commit, and that is not fair on you guys!). But when you read comments like: “Seriously, I’m going to miss your stuff, you were my fav bandana shop.” It really does tug at the heartstrings, and it makes me really happy to know that we made that small impact. 🥰

It’s been fun getting all the “last batch” orders coming through, and I cannot thank you all enough for the support. As of now, I’m working on quite a few different orders so I’m going to ask that you please bear with me😬! I’ll try to get them off as soon as possible (my cut out heap is just growing and growing!) … It’s bloody amazing!
