Furry Friday Fun Fact: Hamsters usually need a bare minimum of 420 square inches for their habitat. Almost all store brought cages are not big enough for a hamster to live comfortably. Aquariums and big plastic bins are spacious alternatives. You can even look at your local thrift store for affordable aquariums!

Dec's Pets Care Tip of the Week:
Always give your hamsters a thick layer of bedding in the bottom of their cage. It should be at least 6 inches thick because they are burrowing animals. The best bedding for your hamster is paper-based and non-scented. Avoid pine and other wood beddings.
