Worked on a much needed project today, little Darla is growing out of her outdoor bed. A while back I spotted this old futon frame on the side of the road, still in good shape but the stretched fabric was dry rotted and full of grime. Thanks to we nearly got it done. Darla and Gypsy supervised of course. We got off to rough start drilling into the metal but the right tools made a huge difference!
The goal is to weave the whole thing with chair strapping then put the striped cover or some sort of pad on the seat part so no paws 🐾 go through.
I can’t wait to get this finished for Darla. I’m just hoping Gypsy doesn’t bully her out of it!

Our sweet “little” almost 5 month old Darla has a lot of quirks but this is by far my favorite. She smiles when she gets REALLY excited! A little off-putting at first but it’s the sweetest thing ever 💗💕 She smiles so big when Dave gets home 🏡

Please think of your pets as we celebrate the 4th of July this weekend. So many get scared, disoriented, and lost because of all the fireworks. It’s always a good idea before festivities begin to secure your fences, double check gates, and bring them inside. It’s also a good idea to have your pet microchipped too. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend, Happy 4th of July!!! 🎉🎉🎉

19 butterfly 🦋 bush cuttings. Let’s see how many take root. I’m still new to this whole gardening thing. Never really had a green thumb but that is slowly shifting. One of my successes and probably favorite thing in my yard (besides the animals) has been my butterfly bush. I could sit out there for hours watching the little micro habitat it created for all the insects and even hummingbirds. I’m hoping for at least one viable plant 🌱 and the rest I’ll be finding a good home.

It’s officially OFFICIAL! This has been a passion project for well over a year now. Covid happened, life happened and everything in between but it’s finally time to share it with you all. For those who don’t know me, I’m an artist and maker at heart. My dream was to make art and gifts for my fellow farming and gardening people. On June 6th I get to finally share with you the collection of watercolors, prints, apparel and stickers I’ve been working on. I’m so excited for you to see it. Keep an eye out for posts this week and the next, as I’ll be sharing sneak peeks of the collection.
