Scarlett's foot during her early days with us was painful and swollen. Throughout her treatments, it reduced in size, and she began using it much more. We hope it continues to heal in her new home!

Rescuing hedgehogs is rewarding. Add to that the incredible adopters we have found along the way, and you have a truly magical experience. Scarlett and Spyke went to their forever home. They were both adopted by an amazing couple who have dedicated their time to saving animals.

Scarlett's foot has been healing after a second round of medication. Her new family is committed to providing all the care she may need throughout her (hopefully) long and beautiful life. Her new parents have experience treating animals with medical concerns. We wish her and Spyke the best with their loving new family.

We are a bit delayed in posting this, but Remus got a family for Christmas! We are so thrilled for him. His new family had been wanting a hedgehog for a long time. They did all the proper research so they can give him the best life possible. He's a special boy going to a very special family. Have an incredible life, little Remus!

Unfortunately, we spoke too soon. Scarlett's foot is swollen again so we are trying another round of medications. Poor girl. The good news is that she is getting a bunch of tasty treats each day (but don't tell her there's medicine inside!).

We are thrilled to share that Scarlett is healing! She arrived at our rescue with a raging infection that destroyed the bones in her foot. We've been medicating her for the past few weeks, and the infection is finally gone. Great work, Scarlett!

Scarlett joined our rescue recently. She was given to us because her foot was infected. Unfortunately, she went multiple weeks without medical attention before the family reached out to us so her foot is in pretty bad shape.
She's currently undergoing a round of strong antibiotics to get the infection under control. However, it is possible the foot will need to be amputated. Don't forget that animals need medical care too! We are grateful we can help Scarlett through this, but it is heartbreaking she has had to suffer.

Celebrating Fluffy's Gotcha Day today! A rescue in the area posted his little face and I just knew he had to join our family. At first he refused to unball. It took several months of calm nurturing and comforting but seeing this guy warm up and become quite the cuddle bug was such a rewarding experience.

This little cutie joined our rescue recently. Luna is a senior girl and has lived in a few different homes by now. She was very loved with her last family. However, she developed a mass, and the family couldn't keep up with her vet bills. We are thrilled to care for her. The mass is likely cancer, but we are having it removed and biopsied to give her the best chance possible.

Meet Latte! Her previous family gave her up because they are trying to conceive. This peppy girl must have a shot of espresso and a pump of sugar syrup because she's energetic and super sweet!

Red Hog the Hedgehog has been adopted! Understandably, Red's rough start in life made him a bit grumpy so he needed someone with patience, a big heart, and animal experience. Hedgehog rescuer, Tara, is just that! Thanks for giving him a loving forever home.

Red has been eating a bunch! He seems a little small for his age, possibly due to poor nutrition. He was being fed a kibble with a lot of filler ingredients. We switched him to a more complete food, and he is gobbling it up!

Meet Red! (or as I like to call him "Red Hog the Hedgehog" 😆)

Red was dropped off in a tiny enclosure without a wheel or hide. On top of that, he was hibernating! Hibernation in captive hedgehogs is often fatal since they aren't equipped for it. We spent many hours warming his little body back up. Thankfully, his metabolism kicked in, and he started moving again. Crisis averted!
