Happy Birthday Asher.
When he arrived in June, he stayed away from us. We could not go near him at all! After about four months, he allowed us to pat him.
He must have had some very bad experiences, so he is still wary of humans.
We adopted Asher because we know a senior dog with joint issues, heart worm is very unlikely to be adopted.
We hope to slowly win him over and give him as much time as he needs. We don't know how much he suffered before but now we want to shower him with love!

Spending time with Asher. He has gotten more friendly but not totally settled down. We tell him there are so many things we want to do with him. Like take him to the park, go for a swim or go to a dog cafe. We know he is a good boy just need a bit more time to settle down.

Being a dog who was displaced and had to roam on the streets before being reduced nd adopted, Asher is the best spokesman for our food program in California.
There are homeless people in the US and some have dogs.
So we started a program for them so that they dogs have complete food that keeps them in good health.

Our dear Asher finally allows his papa to pat him.
We want him to know that we adopted him because we love him and we want him to have a home.
He can do anything he wants, we will buy his all the toys he wants and give him all the food he wants.
We just want to love him!

Asher checked out the new cat and dog supplies and he approved.
He counted and made sure everything is correct.
He is a very good manager!

No dog wants to feel stressed or be wary of humans all the time.
When that happens, something terrible must have occurred, causing them to self-protect.
In Asher's case, he starts to move away if we go near him.
We want to let him know we love him but don't want to stress him.
We need a trainer who approaches animals with love and respect and a big no no is punishment-based training.
So we seek help from Noble Canine. He met Asher, accessed him and gave us lots of tips to help Asher warm up. It is wonderful, and we are seeing great results!

He saw how the cats sleep in the cat bed and he's decided to try it as well. Its too small for him but he thought is fun. Such a cute boy.

Lembu is the cat next to Asher.
He is FIV+ with kidney failure and high blood pressure. The blood pressure caused the retina to deteach so his vision is not good.
He feels secure staying near Asher his big brother!

As we collected all the data on Rush, we believe he was severely neglected causing him to lose so much weight.
So it is very lucky that he was found before he starved to death.
We want Rush to know that it is all in the past. Now, he has a home and our priority is for him to eat, to recuperate and to get well.
Meanwhile, his big brother Asher says no one gets to bully Rush. He is there to protect him!
