We are signing up shelter and rescue "Trivia Team" now to join in a fundraiser on May 19th. All participating nonprofits share in the money raised and winning teams/individuals get prizes. This is a great collaborative and fun way to raise much needed support.

In a recent survey conducted by the State of Pet Homelessness Project, 60% of those interviewed in the US said microchipping is the best method to help lost pets. This is interesting because only about 5% of US pets are microchipped. If you have questions about what microchips are, how they work, etc. just let us know. We would be glad to help.

I just read an article about an animal control facility in FL that is already overcrowded with 278 dogs onsite and they are about to get 53 more malnourished pups. These pups were being hoarded by a person that called himself a "rescue", but in fact he was the cause of great suffering.
AAPP thanks the concerned neighbor who would not give up and fought for years to get these animals help. It took far too long to shut this down, but at least now no more pups will suffer at this home thanks to her persistence.
