Hi everyone. My best friend Waldo and I decided to go Christmas caroling while we were on our walk. I’m a good singer but Waldo needs to practice a bit more. 🌲

Hi everyone. Dodger the Santa Shepherd here. I’m feeling so much better after losing the weight. Now, if Santa needs me to haul some presents I can do that. I sure hope Santa brings me a new home and family for Christmas.

Dodger had his weigh in today and he is down another 2 lb from his last weigh in. He's 142.6 lb.
Unfortunately, his sight is rapidly deteriorating. He sure hopes he can find a new home that he can learn while he is still able to see things around him. Is there an angel out there that will give this beautiful boy a home? Gsroc.org

" C'mon in Dodger. Time for your weigh-in"
He is such a good boy and so easy to deal with. Guess that's why everybody loves him. ❤️

Dodger is slowly but surely shedding those extra pounds, more slowly right now, but he is steadily losing the weight, ... he was at 144.4 lbs this morning, 16 lbs down total.
He was happy to share that news with his best buddy Waldo.

14/11/2020

These two are best friends and walking buddies. They've just enjoyed each other's company and Waldo recognizes that Dodger needs some help and is more than willing to be there for him. They are both available for adoption from gsroc. They do not need to be adopted together.

Dodger wants to remind everyone of the sacrifice our veterans have made. Veterans Day 2020 🇺🇸

Dodger and his buddy are always on alert for squirrels when they take their exercise walk together. Dodger won't do anything though because he knows squirrel is not on his diet.

05/11/2020

Even with the doctor's evaluation of his eyes, Dodger continues his daily walks. Today he was out with his buddy Waldo getting in some good exercise and enjoying the world around him.

05/11/2020

I wanted to let everybody know some devastating news we received today regarding our boy Dodger. He has been diagnosed with progressive retinal atrophy. What this means is he will be going blind slowly but will ultimately lose his sight in both eyes. So, we have decided to release Dodger for adoption so he can go to a home where he can learn his surroundings and settle in before this happens. If you think you would like to adopt and care for him please let us know.

04/11/2020

Dodger had to make a visit to the doctor to check on a problem with his eye. Because of the new protocols he had to wait outside until they called him in. He was more than happy to just lay down in his bed and wait. While he was in the office he got a chance to check out the water therapy tank. He thought it was pretty cool.
Everybody at the doctor's office just loves him and he is a favorite patient.

03/11/2020

After losing some of his excess weight Dodger just felt like dressing up and being pretty for his walk this evening.

02/11/2020

Most people don't know that Dodger actually has a job that he helps with every morning. A GSROC volunteer has all of the medication charts for the German Shepherds they are caring for. Dodger goes along with the volunteer to say good morning to each puppy and to make sure they get what they need. 😷⛑️

31/10/2020

It takes a village and Dodger has a very dedicated group of gsroc volunteers helping him meet his goal. Neda (L) and Cathy (r) are keeping him active and sticking to the program.

30/10/2020

Dodger had a visit to the doctors today for a weigh-in . He is right now 147.8 lb. He seems to have plateaued a bit but nobody said it was going to be easy. Look how fluffy he is after his bath.
