The calls are relentless! I spent five hours straight last night and on my third hour today fielding calls of found and hurt kittens and neonates. I know all the rescues are at capacity, but yet here we all are trying our best to help.
We have multiple babies that have come in. I will showcase this little one. He was found by himself in Clearwater in distress. He would not stop screaming. He was traumatized. I've seen this before after storms. Babies that can not be comforted.
By coincidence, the foster TNVRd a mom and her grown babies right before the storm. She was not going to put them back until after. Well, this momma was upset hearing this little one screaming so bad. We took the chance and she is caring for him and he finally fell asleep.
She does not have milk to give him, but he is bottle-feeding well. This was the only thing that was going to de-stress him and it worked.

Unfortunately, many other bottle babies are being found. During your cleanup, please be careful. Baby squirrels, kittens, you name it are displaced. Moms put their babies in crazy places to shelter them. They tried but perhaps didn't make it themselves.
We know we have adopters, friends, families, other rescuers, and fosters, who have lost a lot, including their jobs.
Our thoughts are with you as you work through the cleanup and find a new beginning like this little guy, who just found his.

Mimosa & Mai Tai have mastered eating, drinking, litter box and so many other milestones. Our experience with them has been beautiful.
Soon these two will need a home. Obviously, this takes a special home, someone who loves CH kittens, someone who would love to give them a safe, loving environment.

Mai Tai, one of our CH kitten is enjoying playing with her favorite ball. What she doesn't realize is that she is in physical therapy to strengthen those muscles. She and her sister Mimosa have so much love to give. They melt our hearts everyday.
