Extremely rare Eugenia hirta produced flowers one year from seed. I am not sure if anyone has flowered and fruited this in the US before? The leaves are tiny, with a small amount of fuzz on them, and that’s one of the best looking fruit trees.

The hoya collection has grown and matured over the past few years. I'll start doing small episodes from time-to-time that take some of the best and show off their foliage, blooms and more. In some episodes, I'll talk about how to care for them, why some may be thriving, my some may be dying and other tips I have for growing Hoya.

This is the funky flower you induce whenever you cut a banana pup down before it’s able to produce it’s true flower. It looks remarkably different than the original flower it would have produced. I contemplated for a second thay this may be a previous blooming pup we cut down but no it’s one we didn’t have room for cut it down and forgot to get rid of it completely. I might be completely wrong because we’ve never like this happen before but that’s my theory and I’m sticking to it 🤣

I know tons of people have flowering jaboticaba‘s, but I still think it’s cool that in Southern California where the yard gets beat up with both cold and hot and so little rain and such harsh conditions this one is flowering like I have never seen before. It’s only its second year flowering and omg I can only imagine what future years will hold.

Annona scleroderma evaded me for a while. The one plant I purchased on eBay was a lie and just ended up being a junk tree. Finally found seeds from a reliable vendor. The seeds were planted January 21 and are germinating pretty quickly. This is awesome! 6 of 8 so far.
