COSMO - adopted

A previous adopter was just here who adopted a kitten from me earlier this year and wanted to get a brother for him.

She came for one of the 3 that I posted a couple days ago but didn’t know that I had 2 more here which I didn’t post yet.

This boy COSMO is one of 5 kittens that I got from my coworker who found them crying and icecold near the horse stall. They were just born (05/16/2024) and mom didn’t come back.

I bottle fed all 5 but 3 of them died within the first 10 days. Cosmo and his brother Flipper were the only 2 that survived.

After a lot of heartache they grew up strong, got ringworm and were treated for nearly 2 months they also got fully vetted last week.

Cosmo went straight towards mom & son and “sold himself” very well 😂

Happy life Cosmo and be nice to your older brother Monty (fka Cubby).

FIFI, BANDIT, DOMINO

These 3 siblings finally got spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated negative for FeLV / FIV last week.

Who doesn’t know their story here it is:
I trapped a mom cat with 6 kittens in May and had them in a room in a double cage set up.

The first kitten passed away only 2 days after I had them and then kitten 2 and 3 just days after that. The mother was very aggressive and seemed like a good mommy but then I noticed that she wasn’t giving the remaining 3 kittens (Fifi, Bandit and Domino) the attention they needed.

So I decided to get mom fixed and returned while they were only 5 weeks old. All 3 were underweight and not eating well. The first week caring for them I wasn’t sure they’ll survive but after lots of treatments for parasites and worms etc. Their weights increased and turned into very happy little babies.

And then came the ringworm 🤦🏽‍♀️
Another 7/8 weeks of ringworm treatment too until all their hair grew back and everyone is happy and healthy.

These 3 are now 4 months old and ready for a home. I’ll add them to Petfinder in the next couple days.

This 6 months old brother & sister couple is still looking for a home together.

She’s outgoing with new people but her brother needs time to warm up.

Both fully vetted and microchipped and eagerly waiting their turn.

SNAPPLE - adopted

Finally this 6 months old boy has a home and sees more than just a small room.

He was the last of a litter of 8 and they all found great homes / families.

He has two older brothers waiting for him at home to welcome him.

Kittens
Siblings Powerade & Mirinda and Snapple, who’s the last sibling of the litter of 8

I haven’t posted anything about kittens and adoptions in a long time because these 3 and the other 5 kittens I have suddenly all got ringworm including my own cat 😔

The last 6/7 weeks I’m just treating them and have so so much to clean and wash. I’m physically and emotionally drained.

I get requests for help with TNR and/or taking kittens daily but I just can’t help at all until all kittens are healed and adopted out.

These 3 are finally healthy again 🎉🎉🎉
All hair grew back, no crusty and bold spots anymore.

The siblings Powerade & Mirinda need a home together. The boy is the shyer one and follows his sister around.

HAPPY KITTY-VERSARY TO ME

10 years of trapping cats and kittens, getting them fixed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Also 3 months ago I hit the 2000 cats saved mark

TNR Hunterdon County NJ is NOT a 501c3 just me, Jessica Thomas, who made up a name, a FB page and from there it got out of control with requests and still is.

I worked for about a year at Animal Alliance as Office Manager and also worked for 4 years at Tabbys Place as a Staff member.

In 2016, just 2 years after I started helping cats, I did my biggest project and trapped 95 cats and kittens on one single property here in Hunterdon County. The main day I had a couple friends helping me and that was fun to have help.

The same year I also got certified as Animal Control Officer and Animal Cruelty Investigator and worked as ACO for Montgomery Twp from 2020 to 2021.

In 2016/2017 I also travelled twice as a volunteer for Animal Balance to Hawaii to trap cats 24/7. I was the lead trapper and my team and I trapped 685 in 5 days (they’re not on my list 🤪).

I’m smiling when I get help requests and it says “can someone from your group…” sorry that someone is just me, myself and I doing it all.

Beginning of 2018 I then was diagnosed with a tennis ball size brain tumor behind my right eye. It was benign and removed… so they thought. Came back August 2018 so another 11 hour surgery and 40 radiations and was done with all that in January of 2019. Still tumor cells left growing very slowly now. I slowly lost my eye sight in my right eye since then and I’m fully blind in that eye as of last year. BUT I can still rescue cats with just one eye 🤪

I still have 8 kittens to get into homes and then I can finally do some trapping again 😻

Dasani & Crush - adopted

These two babies were adopted just now by a family who has one cat waiting for play mates 😉

Happy life sweet babies and that leaves me with 3 out of 10 kittens from those litters.

Moxie & Spike - adopted

These are the 2 babies that were adopted on Tuesday by the family were I trapped their mommy.

They first wanted only these 2, then wanted the 2 siblings from the other mommy as well but changed their mind again to only these 2. They said they might come back for Mirinda & Powerade 🤷‍♀️

So out of 10 kittens I got 5 adopted out by Tuesday

Pittstown - kittens & mom update This is the mom cat I trapped 4/4/2024 and gave birth 4/5/2024 to two healthy kittens. That weekend I move her into the guestroom and set her up in 2 XL crates strapped together so she has lots of room and I won’t get bitten cleaning the litter boxes 🤪 She’s very protective of her babies as you can see by the look on her face 😂 The kittens will not be available to anyone for at least another 8-10 weeks so please don’t inquire about them.

MISS KITTY I did write a post but only the video was posted 🤷‍♀️ After many foods and she didn’t eat or even lick anything I put FortiFlora in the food which I know from experience kittens seems to like the smell and taste. I set her up in a cage in the guestroom last night and introduced my cats hoping that she’s happier around cats. My cat Dora loves all cats and people and is also very food driven so I had her eat a lickable treat in front of Miss Kittys cage. Any yes I tried them on her and she is NOT eating it. Also looks like she licked on the foods over night since I see some Mixed Grill in the broths. She didn’t lick the liquid from the broths so not a fish fan I guess. Many more foods to try but I’ll add FortiFlora now to everything 😉

FOXGLOVE This 7 months old sweet girl is still waiting for a forever home for months. She loves to be pet and brushed, very food motivated, playful and not shedding much. I can’t get to work with / tame little Olivia in the room because Foxglove wants all the attention. Please share so she can find a home
