8.23.13, 3 years ago today a little fawn pibble was waiting. She didn't know what she was waiting for, but today felt different. As the sun came up, angels in blue came into view. They unchained my Lulu, they took off her thick collar and let her feel weightlessness, probably for the first time in her life. She is truly weightless now, romping around over the rainbow bridge. I miss you more and more each day my little beastie, I will always think of you.

At 2:49pm Lulu crossed the rainbow bridge. After watching her decline for 3 months with no answer and no way to help her I elected to let her go today. She was in my lap when she took her last breath. I am heartbroken that I will never get to watch her little face go grey and that I had to let her go so soon. Rest in Peace Sweet Lu, know that you will always be loved.

Lulu is visiting the specialist again today. We've confirmed that she has Babesia Gibsoni, but the 8 vets that have consulted on her case are all in agreeance that the Babesia is not the cause of all ot the fluid built up in her abdomen. She is having another ultrasound, an echocardiogram, and aspirates of her lymph nodes taken today. The bills are continuing to add up with no real answer yet. I have increased the goal of my fundraiser to cover todays visit. Im not sure what the next step will be from here, I'm just hoping that we will have some answers. Hey everyone, Meg here again. Lulu's appointment last week did not go as I thought it would. Radiographs revealed a significant amount of fluid in her abdomen and lungs. She had an ultrasound on monday that showed abnormalities in her pancreas and liver possibly pointing to pancreatitis. She was scheduled for bloodwork on friday, but when i got home today she was having trouble breathing. We are at the emergency vet now waiting for the vet to see her. Keep her in your thoughts, it seems like its going to be a long night. Love, Meg

Hey everyone, Lu's mom here. The teeny beast had to go to the vet today, her propensity for eating things that aren't food has caught up to her. At some point over the weekend, she ate about 8 or so inches of her 2 inch width martingale collar. He poor tummy is distended and she is very uncomfortable. We will be returning to the vet tomorrow for sedated radiographs. She would not allow the vets to do them today without sedation. She has already passed a 2 inch square piece, and I'm hoping the rads will show that the other pieces are on their way out. Keep her in your thoughts. With love, Meg.

Time flies! I've been home for almost 6 months! Mom has had a lot of life changes and I've taken them all in stride, she says she's really proud me. I can be a very clever little beastie and i learned how to break out of my wire crate in an astoundingly short period of time. I have a hard sided crate that mom calls the Batcave. I've also entered contestes for my yummy mudpies. Want to know the secret? Eat some dirt, drink wayyyy too much water, then walk around to mix it up. In about 5 minutes, you can yak it back up. Perfect mud pie! Mom says eating dirt is bad for me, but I'm verrry sneaky. Youve met my sister Dev, she and I are so close now! I'm even getting pretty friendly with my brother Percy, he outweighs me by 50 pounds and is super goofy. I like him, even if he annoys me and I'm not always the nicest to him. Hello lovely Lulu-ites! Did you miss me? I want to formally introduce my sister Dev, she's a cat-tull dog pibble mix. She's taught me lots of things, like how to wrestle and even her patented paw-at-mom-until-she-reads-your-mind move. She has been really patient with me even though she sometimes thinks I'm annoying. We're the same age but I've heard her tell the other dogs I'm her kid sister. That's okay, I know I can hang with the big dogs!

Hello adoring fans! Do you think this cone makes my ears look big? Mom says I have to wear it for a few more days. I had a hematoma in my salivary gland, but Dr. Green took care of it and now I'm on the mend. I'm loving life, especially chasing my sister Dev around. Mom says she's sorry she hasn't given my adoring fans any pictures of my pitty face to moon over. I've recently become the smallest dog in a six (yes, six!) dog household. Mom says its only temporary but I really like it here. The dogs are nice to me and there is always someone to play with. My sister Dev and my new friend Nala like to do crazy zoomies in the yard and wrestle non-stop. There is even soft cushiony chair that I love to curl up in. Mom says next week i have to start working on my manners. I'm not really sure what that means. Something about not throwing myself on people and nibbling on their noses. She says it's rude or something. Whatever, she loves me anyways.

Mom has been letting me out of the batcave to play with my new sister at night. She keeps saying I'm very pushy and that my big sister Dev is the most tolerant dog on the planet. I don't know what she's talking about, I'm definitely not "pushy." I love my life here, I'm so grateful for all of the people who loved me and the other dogs from my case. I get nice long walks, I have a kitty of my very own(she keeps hissing at me and then rubbing her face on me, cats are confusing!), and I terrorize the local lizard and frog population by sniffing them so hard they flip over. I stepped on a frog yesterday, at least mom says I did. I didn't even notice. The little frog hopped away, mostly unscathed. Life is good.
