This was Tessa before being desensitized and groundworked. She came to me scared of practically everything. Now she's an absolute dream round pening and doing great with her rides!

This is Apollo. He's a 2yr old Baroque Pinto. He's amazing. This boy doesn't spook to anything. Great on his desensitization but working on his turns for round pen.

Tessa's unfazed by the tarp and whip. What a fast learner she is! From super spooked at a slight breeze in the trees to conference! That's what we do here!

This is Tessa. She came to me skiddish and very spooky. She had some trust issues. This was only her 2nd day with desensitization with me. She's a totally different horse then her first day! Way to go Tessa! Now she's off to being a great soon to be barrel horse! What a transformation!

Hi! Thank you for joining Plant My Hooves On Higher Ground page. I created this page to help those new horse owners or those that just need a "back to the basics " horse owners. Maybe your horse isn't understanding what you're communicating with them while riding and you need a refresh back to 101. Groundwork is the answer! Reconnecting with your horse and getting back to that understanding that you had or maybe never developed in the first place.
Groundwork helps the horse learn, as well as the rider, and is a vital part of training. You can learn a lot about your horse from being on the ground and establish the mood or temperament the horse is in before you ride. Groundwork sets the foundations for discipline and trust.
