I've not posted in a while but things have been ticking over nicely. Now I'm back from a few herping trips so thought I'd better get back to it.
I had some still born Brazilian rainbow boas earlier in the year and nothing goes to waste around here. Everyone is used to seeing my Drymarchon eating snakes but here is a Boiga melanota proving a varied diet is welcome but most of the species I keep.

I have Mexican black kingsnakes hatching and you can see they are having no issue using their egg tooth to slice open their eggs. They will make multiple cuts and then sit inside the eggs for a while before emerging.

I've not been very active on the page recently, so let's kick it back off with a nice clutch of Boiga cyanea eggs. The female is still laying so there's more than this, however she's decided to make life difficult by laying the rest under the nest box instead of in it.

Today with the help of my vet I got a small but not pretty clutch of Mussarana eggs. I'll see how they get on but I'm not holding out too much hope. More importantly my snake is fine.

Blue, brown and green Barons racers. You aren't getting this choice anywhere else.
These are a really active species which make one of the best display snakes around in our opinion.

I've had a little juggle around today.
This viv now contains a Tiger rat snake, Spilotes pullatus. I actually moved this animal on once against my better judgement but she's home to stay now, along with a male so hopefully babies will be on the cards in the future.

The viv is 6x3x3. The upright log in the right hand corner is completely hollow which makes the perfect hiding place for this species.
