This year has been a challenging one for my art journey. I took a step back from running and attending weekly and monthly markets to put my energy into something I have been dreaming of for years: growing my own creative space with Moonrise Mountain Market. My little studio has become a sanctuary for creating and sharing, but it also means I have had to focus my finances and energy in a very different way.

I know I am not the only one feeling the ripple effects of these times. When budgets tighten, art and creativity are often the first to feel the cut. And yet, I believe deeply that art is not frivolous. It is a reminder of beauty, of connection, of hope. These are things we all need when the world feels heavy.

So if you have been meaning to stop by, share an event, bring a friend, or even just spread the word, it truly makes a difference. Every visit, every share, every little piece of support helps keep this dream alive.

As we do annually in August, we’ll be donating a portion of our sales for the day to SNIP WV Through Mountaineers For Mutts we have experienced first-hand the work they do at SNIP to help save animals in our area. We are lucky to have this clinic in Morgantown!

If you would like to donate directly please visit their socials for a direct link or find their Amazon wishlist! They are always in need of supplies for the clinic. 🐱 🐶

During August, PetSmart Charities is partnering with NBCUniversal Local and Hill’s Pet Nutrition to host Clear The Shelters, a nationwide adoption and fundraising campaign that helps find loving homes for animals in need. Mountaineers for Mutts works closely with our local shelters to rescue and promote the animals available for adoption.

One way to support this life-changing campaign locally is to head to our Adoption Center inside the Morgantown PetSmart. There you will find kitties that have been rescued from local shelters with a special $35 adoption fee for the month!

You can also help us clear the shelters by sharing posts of available animals with your friends and family. Just a few local shelters to watch are Mon County Canine Adoption Center, Harrison County WV Animal Control, Fayette County Humane Society 🐶🐱
