I'm certain that the donkeys got this memo because they were Caroling early this morning- and yes their songs can be heard all over town... blame the church bells... the snow.. the cold or an early visit from Santa but they just want to wish you a Merry Christmas! (And ward off the evil spirits if needed ;)

It's a labor of love when it's 9 degrees and you have to teach your pig to climb steps to get to the warm water bucket...

Hammy is not a fan of the high water bucket however she won't stop the goats from playing tug-of-war with the heater in the short leg bucket... so steps it is!

We will make out the certificate to reflect the donation and can customize with the name of the donkey supported as well!

It has been a tough week for the rescue - it has been a Challenging few years for non-profits and sadly we have been denied from every grant request made to grown our children's reading program- we spent hours on so many applications and had no success for even partial funding

But we will keep trying and we will still work to assist as many children as we can it is just going to take a lot longer than we had hoped

Well it has been a busy week... lots of early Winter prep and some vet visits dental care for a couple residents one little friend who is a little under the weather - our little Sonny isn't himself he had his teeth floated and a damaged molar was addressed All Age related changes in our older donkeys so he is on soaked pellets and soaked hay blood work will be back this week - to see if he has any metabolic issues but for now he is comfy and enjoying his special food 😉

Phinie update!
🏡We need to find her a HOME no fostering, we need her next stop her FOREVER HOME!
This home will have to be SPECIAL! NO OTHER PETS! NO CHILDREN! Phinie will require multiple meetings to get comfortable with her new person or people. She obviously had a past that wasn't kind and is STILL working on trust. It took me 10 days to become her person and it was so worth the work, once she loves you she LOVES you! If you think Phinie is what you're looking for and you're willing to put in the work please call us to discuss the process Monday-Friday 8am-4pm 203-910-3228
