"Saint Dominic declares that the redemption of the Holy Souls from purgatory is one of the principal effects of the rosary. The Venerable Alanus writes that many of the brethren had appeared to them whilst reciting the rosary and had declared that next to the holy sacrifice of the Mass there was no more powerful means than the rosary to help the suffering souls.

Also, that numerous souls were daily released thereby who otherwise would have been obliged to remain there for years. St. Alfonsus Ligouri therefore says "If we wish to be of material assistance to the souls in Purgatory, we must always recommend them in our prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary and especially offer the Rosary for them."

She has been wearing her handmade leather St Gertrude cat collar, with the St. Benedict holy medal, for over a year!

She loves the extra protection of the powerful benedict medal..... She is kind of a shy beauty, so it really is a comfort to her mom!

It's St Nicklaus Day! 🙏❣A day to thank God for the kind and generous souls who have brought us comfort and aid during the rough patches of our lives, as did the great St Nick for the three destitute daughters of the legend.

On this day of Advent, ponder this beautiful section of "The Imitation of Christ." How can we thirst more for the interior life of our hearts close to the Immaculate Heart? ❤💖🙏📿

She obliges my outbursts of exuberance ❤❤🕊 when I am reading from the book "The Imitation of Christ." Consider the beauty of this passage:

"Nature turns all things to self,  and contends and disputes for self.  But grace refers all things to God, from whom they originally proceed; attributes no good to self, nor does she arrogantly presume. Grace does not contend,  nor prefer her own opinion to others; but in every feeling and understanding submits herself to the eternal Wisdom and to the divine scrutiny.  Chap 54 paragraph 16." So beautiful!
